The paddock offers plenty of almost level places to park in the shade . The property is secure with an electric gate so you can safely leave your caravan and go sight seeing around the district .

If you're coming in September you can raid the huge Mulberry tree at the front of the property.  If you are here between April and June you are welcome to pick the Macadamia Nuts and Pecan Nuts from the trees towards the front and close to the creek line.  We have loads of herbs growing on site - perfect if you love to experiment with camp cooking,  While exploring the gardens for herbs you will come across some lavender and if you like flowers for the table by all means pick some.

We have pet farm animals including Fridey the Murray Grey cow and her calf Tuesdy. The cow arrived here on a Friday and of course you guessed it, the calf was born on a Tuesday. The Ram's name is Borris and the Ewe's name is Dorris , her new offspring is called Baaaarbie and that's not where she will end up. Our miniature pony's name is Matey, he was born on the property in the year 2000 and has arthritis as he is very old. There are lots of birds and wildlife in the area including wallabies.

Redwood Park is just one of the bush walking opportunities located nearby and of course there's Picnic Point where you can take in breathtaking views just 10 minutes from camp.

We are 8 minutes from the Toowoomba CBD yet we're out on acreage, in the valley at the foot of the Toowoomba Range where it's quiet and peaceful.

This camp site suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply.

Pets on leashes welcome.

A LITTLE HISTORY....

The property is the last remaining acreage of Merryfield's Farm, a large farm which was sold for sub-division in 1974.  A lot of the surrounding properties were originally part of the Merryfield's Farm and we were lucky enough to acquire the remaining acreage in 1989 . We set about creating a wonderful homely lifestyle property here for our family . We hope that you can feel at home if you visit and enjoy the peace and tranquility that all our friends and other visitors speak of once they have spent time here.

Good little property, the camping area is nice & open and its easy to find a good private spot to set up.
It is not far from the highway so you can get a little bit of road noise but nothing to be too concerned about. Location is at the bottom of the range so great access into Toowoomba and surrounding areas for day trips etc. The local township of Withcott has everything you need to get by, and is only a minute drive away or close walk to the pub.
There's no fire pits however we were supplied a small fire pig that did the job but being able to have a open fire would be better.
The hosts were lovely and left us alone but were there in a jiffy to help if we needed anything.
No major negatives, overall a nice spot to go for a couple of days if you want to explore the area.
