Formally a horse spelling farm, "Prado Downs" is now home to Shiralee Clydesdale Stud. Offering both camping and a choice of a fully self contained 2 bedroom cabin or a fully self contained Winnebago accommodation, there is something for everyone. While you're here, book a horse and carriage ride (extra charge), feed the horses and pat the foals. We hope you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and between March and September we ramp it up with activities of all sorts. Campsites can be on the slightly undulating, open lawn area, where there is bore water available. Or down by the dry creek under the gum trees. Construction is underway to provide tank water, and a Camp Kitchen. The flushing toilets and showers are up and running! While you're here, help feed the horses or pat the foals. Collect the eggs, or have a drink around the communal camp fire. Want quiet time - each site has its own smaller fire pit! 15 minutes drive to Rockhampton - Or n your way to Emu Park Beach, you can visit the Camel Farm, or the Koorana Crocodile Farm.Pick your location, mostly level areas available with mowed grassed areas. Some areas over looking the playground; some overlooking the dam.

Was an amazing place to stay. All the animals were super friendly camp, came with a free guard dog and a free guard cow. Was overall very enjoyable and relaxing

Wonder farm stay

Linda and Wayne were terrific hosts. We went to stay at Linda Farm stay and go to the Rocky Nats show. Linda offered to drop us to the event and home which saved us getting an Uber . I would recommend staying at this farm as it has lots of animals which are use to people and it is so peaceful. Thanks again Linda and Wayne we will Defo be back 🐣🎉🎉

I loved my time camping on Lynda’s property. It was so easy to find and both Lynda and Wayne were lovely. Would definitely stay again!

Clydesdale Cottage

It is advertised as having an enclosed fenced area for a dog, but unfortunately half of the fence no longer exists. So made it very hard with our dog. The cottage is very spacious and had everything we needed inside, which was nice. Unfortunately the roof inside does have some mold on it, which I am very sensitive too.
