On the banks of the beautiful Fitzroy River is the Rockhampton Water Ski Club. Only ten minutes drive from the Rockhampton CBD is the opportunity to access the only camping location along the fresh water side (upstream) of the Fitzroy River Barrage. This site offers full amenities, including hot water showers, flushing toilets, built in bbq's, and a camp kitchen. You can enjoy getting back to nature with the picturesque river views and enjoy the beautiful landscape or you can sit around the fire and tell some yarns with the family. Other activities that the site provides is direct access to the Fitzroy River via the clubs boat ramp, and doc, water skiing, fishing and of course you're more than welcome to bring your own canoes or kayaks. There are plenty of places for the kids to play and swim, so come for a day or a whole week.

The place was very peaceful. Saw many Roos in the morning which the kidss absolutely loved!! Clean kitchen, toilets and bathrooms. Dave was very welcoming.

One of my favourite campsites. It has everything you need, it’s clean and tidy, beautiful sunrise and sunset. I had a wonderful time and Pete was very accommodating.

Great Camp Site
Such a nice camp. Powered site and by the river. Caretaker was very nice and friendly. Would recommend to stop here,👍

Caretaker, Dave, was very friendly and helpful. It had been raining before we arrived and rained for our whole stay so driveway got a bit churned up and muddy and lower area near river had a small lake. But we weren't really affected and it was so nice and peaceful. We would really have enjoyed it if the weather had been fine as the view of the lake and the gardens were lovely. Toilets and showers were good although could have been cleaner.

Camp sites are on the Fitzroy River. Great spot. Clean facilities and full use of kitchen. Enjoy an afternoon drink by the river.
