Not like the photos
We tried to contact the owner a few days out to check access because we’d had bad weather and didn’t get a response. The Hipcamp ad said they preferred contact via the app but no response. When we showed up, it was literally someone’s front yard. We tried to ring the owner to confirm what site we had but no one answered. The Hipcamp receipt only said by the creek. Having never done this before we were confused. About 20 minutes after we arrived, the owners showed up. They asked us how long we were staying for and how we booked. They didn’t even know we were coming. They told us we could stay in the spot we had planned parked our van. Then I got a call back from the owner, they left me a voicemail even though they had just spoken to us. The owner then proceeded to mow the yard around us for about 30 mins and stopped. The grass was incredibly overgrown and needed a mow. We got hit by a huge hail storm on the second day and the owners didn’t come out to check we were ok and that nothing got too damaged. Got a few dings on the van and the skylight broke but nothing major. Overall I feel pretty mislead by the pictures and that this was a great spot to camp. All the other reviews make the place seem wonderful and the owner friendly. We could have stayed at home and parked by our own creek in our front paddock.

This was a lovely quiet site. Really enjoyed our time here and to top it off, we saw a bilby! He’s definitely a little resident which is just magic. I think this place should be renamed to “One Bilby Creek” 😀

Pluck a Duck Creek Near Dayboro
HORRIBLE
I have never left a bad review nor once complained about a hip camp… However I couldn’t not comment on how terrible this camp is. Messaged the host FIVE times over two days with no response. Had booked two nights but requested a refund for the second night as soon as we got there, never got a response so no refund was issued. A simple yes or no answer would have been nice. My initial message was to let them know there were other campers allowing their dogs to run around the whole camp which was disturbing our dog.. these dogs were barking non stop and constantly running to our camp Considering the pet policy on their ad says dogs need to be contained when other campers/ dogs are around… I thought they may want to know. The sites themselves are a joke!! There is only one flat site and the rest are all on the biggest slope, I also wouldn’t really call it a creek… Would NOT recommend. Till now I still have not had a response but I assume they would definitely be replying to this.

Very nice little site with quiet and peaceful surroundings. Only 5 minutes up the road from Dayboro and 15 minutes to Petrie Old Town. We will definitely be going back.
