Mugul Mountain Retreat is a 300 acre property adjacent to Mt Colosseum (or Mugul as it is called by the local Indigenous peoples). The property borders the national park of Mt Colosseum. Mugul is a sacred Indigenous site. Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is a place where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site. Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. You can purchase firewood from us (see Extras). We prefer you to bring your own water, emergency supply can be arranged (we are on tank water). Patchy mobile reception.

The Runway
The Runway was absolutely beautiful, easy to find and the hosts Lee and Fred are so friendly and helpful. There’s a lot of space for groups and a great camp kitchen area.

The Runway
Just had a lovely two nights on Lee's property in our new Avan Cruiseliner. We had the place to ourselves along with kangaroos wallabies bandicoots and a myriad of birdlife. The hosts were very hospitable and provided lots of information about the area. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Lee was very helpful and it was a well kept campsite. Very peaceful stay with lots of trees and kangaroos.

Spacious Camping with Dog
Very friendly hosts and location to camp. The bed and breakfast would be great as well in the sensational wooden house/mansion. No mobile reception which was actually great (but don’t forget to message family before you leave the highway).
