Due to recent rains the track is being improved, the site has been moved to a new location, the views are even better than before, it is currently a bit bumpy, if you drive slow you should be fine. Please be careful. The site is for experienced campers so I doubt that would be a problem.

There is cut wood to purchase either cash or via paypal app $22 per bag, or you can gather your own, do not cut green trees.

Essential Things to bring

1. Something to cut wood, small battery saw would be sufficient.

2. Toilet, there is a compost toilet, use a small amount of sawdust please you do not need to fill the bin with sawdust, just small sprinkle is all that is needed.

There no dump point or safe place to dump waste. Bring your own paper, Wipes are not suitable.

3. Water, there is no potable (drinkable) water available.

This is an undulating area, there is a walk that will take you to Cotswold trail to climb the mountain.

An ideal place to setup for a climb of the mountain, there are tracks through out the property, and an abundance of wild life. Small site ideal for family or couples.

There is no water, no showers, you are expected to take with you, everything you brought with you.

Great spot, very quiet. Backs right onto the Mount Maroon track so is a great spot to base yourself for hiking/climbing. Very nice hosts. Would absolutely recommend.

Friendly hosts, great location. I loved the fact it was easy access to complete an excellent hike. A nice bonus.
Flat ground as well which is always good.
Thanks

We absolutely loved this spot!!! We felt so secluded from the main property and with the hiking track so close and the view over the ridge was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved the site, especially its close proximity to the Mt Maroon trail. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer!

This place was great, beautiful area, after the rain the 50m entrance to the paddock area was boggy and just got through in our 2wd qashqai. We climbed mt maroon which was amazing, clouds at the top but still well worth it. Would come back for sure

Beautiful view halfway upSunrise summit probably not the best ideaSteep climb up the mountain

Super friendly and accomodating hosts, a picturesque camping spot and some of South-east Queensland’s best climb/hikes on your doorstep.
Really hope that this stays as an available Hipcamp and will definitely be back :-)
