MG08 - Mays Grove Site (Unpowered)
Site was in a great location but unfortunately it was way too windy on that weekend. We managed to shift up to "the Gums" which was great.

Great location at habitat noosa very close to the lake with great amenities. Lots of kangaroos around and local brewery and restaurant on site was a great addition
Gums Area (Unpowered & Undesignated)
We booked in for a 3 x night stay in the undesignated site to celebrate New Years with our friends. Unfortunately there was severe storms predicted with hail & flash flooding and we didn't feel safe driving out in that weather let alone setting up camp in it, had to cancel our first day as a precaution. When I enquired about a potential credit for the first day which we missed, I was told that this was not a possibility and 14 days notice was needed. Very disappointing that given the circumstances, we could be provided a credit for the paid night to be used at another occasion which may have turned into a bigger stay. Was understanding that a refund could not be provided but felt there could've been flexibility for a credit as no money would've been lost and a glowing recommendation could've come out of it.

Gums Area (Unpowered & Undesignated)
Mismanagement of camp grounds!
I really like Noosa Everglades. I have been here and camped here on several occasions before it was even called the Habitat. It always rains in this area as it is a rainforest but we got through it on the many occasions we used to go to what used to be called Elanda Point. This year it rained on the 30th of December and we were camped in a section called The Gums. The section turned into a mini lake. I understand that the weather is beyond management's control but the maintenance of the camp grounds is up to them. The camp grounds are poorly set up allowing 4WD caravans to set up camp in sections of the camp ground that is resulting in erosion and mismanagement of the land. Campervans and caravans used to have a dedicated section which limited the damage made to the camp grounds. The management needs to improve the roads around the area and separate the tent sections from the campervans and caravans. Pretty much everyone in the gums left the next day including caravans. One of the children said "my first flood ever". No refunds were offered to the people even though the park was aware of the damage caused by the torrential rain.
As we were leaving more people were setting up in the same section that we had just left and no one bothered to block off this section that floods
