What a simply stunning property this is. From the amazing elevated view across the dam to Paul's hospitality, the experience camping here was one of my favourites. From the time I drove through the gate until the end of my stay, I was made to feel more than welcome and can't wait to return.

The view really is endless and absolutely stunning! Paul was great, easy to communicate with and very flexible. We launched our tinny from the public boat ramp which was a short easy drive. The slope is more than ‘slight’ I would say, and definitely not a place I’d pitch a tent. We managed to get the van level with 2 sets of leveling ramps and some bricks. Don’t let that put you off though, as long as you’re prepared, it’s absolutely worth the bit of stuffing around to get level. We’ll be back for sure.

Paul Amber and their family were the friendliest of hosts and made us feel welcome. Paul is going to put a few flat pads in for big vans like ours that need to be level. We stayed up towards his house which had perfect water views. I would definetly go back again

Stunning views of the lake. We've stayed at a lot of Hipcamps and this has to be a favourite. Little known gem - we stayed on New Year's Day through to 2nd Jan and there were no other campers. Though Somerset Park and NRMA campgrounds were jampacked. Friendly host who had friends around for dinner but was still very quiet. Only downside was that the slope is steep enough to be uncomfortable if in a tent. We were able to level the car (and rooftop camper) using bricks, so no issues.

Overall a good stay at this property, with easy access and great communication from the host. Amazing 180 degree water views and amazing night sky view. Unfortunately we underestimated what ‘slightly slopped’ meant and we weren’t able to level our van as our chocks weren’t high enough. The slope is more than ‘slight’ in my opinion, so come prepared for that. Also, the campsite wasn’t as private as we expected (or what we’re used to from Hipcamp) - might have just been because of the holiday period but there was an ATV and motorbike on the property which drove past us quite a lot during our stay. Checkin time is negotiable with the host.
