Emu Creek Flat is a bird watcher's paradise. It provides an exclusive, private and easily accessible site on a five acre paddock which overlooks the Emu Creek and surrounding hills.
Tucked away in the valley, it feels secluded but is in close proximity to many locations of interest such as the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Ramblers and Watts Bridge Airports, several local pubs of character as well as Somerset Regional Gallery at the Condensery, Toogoolawah.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply.
Find your own space to park, in the open or under the cover of trees and enjoy sundowners at the fire pit, overlooking the creek to the beautiful hills in the background. Walking along the creek track, through the native riverine vegetation, abundant birdlife and other wildlife including koalas and wild deer may sometimes be seen.
The creek itself is home to many species of fishes, tortoises, waterbirds with the possibility of spotting a platypus at dawn or dusk. On clear nights the skies are awash with galaxies of stars. The area is steeped in natural history, farming history and was traversed by the famous explorer Dr Ludwig Leichhardt in C 1840.

We enjoyed Robyn's camp spot, very peaceful up in the valley, while still nice and close to towns. Easy access. Was great!
