“Dayspring” is a large isolated private site ideal for group bookings.  It is on a tranquil part of the Albert River just a few miles down stream from Darlington Park.

One of the greatest attractions is the amazing night sky.  Because the fire pit area is down near the rapids, the high river bank blocks out the city’s lights and glow. It is common to see more than one shooting star in a night.  A good time to view the night sky is a week either side of the new moon.  If you find out  (Google) when the ISS is going overhead and get to view it, you will be in awe, as we have been. A week or so up to a full moon is ideal for gatherings. The moon reflecting on the water and lighting up the campgrounds,  the fire pit blazing and the aroma of the cook-ups the boys are doing will surely create a delightful atmosphere for your party.

We use our Hipcamps a lot ourselves and are enjoying sharing our 2 x water front camp sites with guests.

We will do our best to make your stay pleasurable and are happy to share with you what we have so enjoyed for all these years.

There is a lot to do and see in the Scenic Rim area, so pick up some information at Beaudesert museum or Information centre on the way,  or just chill!

“Dayspring” Camping Ground is ideal for a group booking of  8 to 15 guests with a maximum of  5 vehicles,

Absolutely beautiful spot! The sounds of the running creek, birds and frogs was amazing! Very neat and tidy with a nice fire pit. We met Sue at the entry on arrival, she showed us to our spot and made sure that we had everything that we needed and even came down to check on us and see if we needed anything during our stay. She was absolutely lovely and even helped us out when we made the mistake of leaving our firewood in the rain. Plenty of space to stretch out and for the kids to run around, swim in the swimming hole, kick a ball etc. without having to worry about sharing space (or annoying) other campers. Would definitely recommend this spot, we will be back again soon! Thanks Sue!

The size of the camping spot, the privacy, the gorgeous running water and swimming hole. My partner and I needed a relaxing weekend away from our busy lives. Sue’s gorgeous location exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend it for a group or private get away. Sue’s attention to detail was outstanding. She clearly loves and cares for her gorgeous property and it’s a privilege to be able to experience it.

We loved unplugging and disconnecting from our busy lives. So relaxing. The hammocks were so perfect!Lots of flat areas to set up.

My second stay at this Hipcamp. It’s a large picture perfect site beside the river. Huge fire pit, comfy chairs and a couple of hammocks. So peaceful yet so close to Brisbane. Our host Sue was lovely and I can’t wait to go back again.

Hi Sue, thank you fir sharing your property with us. We enjoyed every minute. The well maintained grass, firewood, tinder and newspaper for our easy use, fresh flowers on the bench and the freshly washed hammocks. The rivet and birdlife was absolutely amazing. We saw no people, no noise but the river running, quiet and peaceful. This place is absolutely worth every penny👌👌

This has been our favourite campsite to date. It’s not without its challenges but they are worth it. It’s close to town (shops) for supplies and yet so private and secluded. The creek was very fast flowing (not suitable for young kids) but that was because we had so much rain in the region. We had concerns at one point of flooding and Sue was awesome giving her advice and in the end the river only rose about 40cm. The wind can be extremely strong but ultimately this is a superb campsite!

It has been windy here as well. There has been quite a lot of rain in the catchment area which will be filling up the springs ensuring a good water supply for the current crops. Glad you enjoyed your time at “Dayspring”
