A 1 bedroom AC holiday unit with exclusive access to the Nature Park and its 50 acres of bush trails, river front fishing and crabbing; including free use of kayak, fishing deck, fishing gear, crab pots, dipping ponds, sun/rain shelters, dam and boat ramp. Bush walk from your holiday unit past the dam and down to the river along the creek. Just 300m from the shops and pub; and 20mins from the beach and river mouth. A great crocodile-free base camp from which to explore the Discovery Coast.
The top floor AC holiday unit is located close to the road and 650m from the river via a 2wd track. The unit has no outdoor area/deck but includes a 12x6m carport next to the main residence. Includes , TV, Wi-Fi, Sat TV and Netflix. Gas cooktop and oven, L fridge. Single bedroom, toilet and bathroom. Sofa bed and spare mattress to sleep family with kids.
Guests to the Nature Park have exclusive access to River Camp a 10 acre river side parkland that is already set up with fire drum, firewood, sun shade, rain shelter, fishing gear, esky, fishing deck, crab pots, single person kayak, life vest, boat ramp, rainwater containers and 1500L chlorinated dipping pond. You just need to bring sunnies, hat, drinks and bait. Guests also have exclusive use of a 1-acre clearing next to the dam that includes firepit/bonfire, firewood, dipping pond, pool floats, and hammock. Guests are free to set up and use campsites including caravans and tents during their stay but local regulations mean guests cannot sleep at their camps overnight.
Guests should expect midges (sandflies) when outside at dawn and dusk; we recommend Bushman repellent. Campers should consider that the dipping ponds, dam and river are unfenced.
A Welcome Pack will be emailed with your booking confirmation; which includes contact details, map of property, local amenities and attractions. Caretaker Hambo will be at hand to make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
The local pub, bottle shop, take away, tackle shop, hardware, post office and petrol station are just 300m from the property. Rules beach is 15km and the river is navigable the whole way. There are two other boat ramps on the way to the coast. The closest large towns are Agnes Water/1770 (50km north) and Bundaberg (80km south).
Telstra mobile reception in the area is good, however Optus mobile reception seems unreliable. Please text your name and an ETA (to Hambo via mobile) before arriving at the property.
Cheers,
Charlie Darwin

The place was great so relaxing and tranquil. Great fishing and crapping right off the bank. Would definitely go back.

Good spot large sites .
Great place to camp on the banks of Baffke Creek. Lots of room for each camp. Love the extra touches added by Charle like the personal pool, fire pit with wood, containers filled with rainwater.
We will definitely return and would recommend for guests wanting to fish and crab in a bush setting.
Well done Charlie.
Stayed in site 7 near the main house so we could have electrical connection for our caravan but it was still very private. This site had a huge fire pit surrounded by large rocks we could sit on. Beautiful outlook across the land with visits by kangaroos in the morning. The other sites were all close to either the dam or the river
Great spot and set up with lots of thoughtful touches. Nice and peaceful with heaps of space in each camp sites and literally walking distance to shops and a great little pub. Definitely would come back
I love camping with a water view. Even better when u can throw a line in and sit back in ur camp and wait for the bite. Very Nice river side camp. And also been able to take my fury friend for a walk through the bush and explore the area
Great campsite and position right on the banks of the creek, close to shops for any essentials that are required and close to both rules beach and deepwater NP, campsites well spaced out the boat ramp is perfect for a small tiny. Will definitely be back in the future

We were lucky to have been the only ones there would have stayed another night if wasn't at the end of our trip and we had to be home I relaxed in plunge pool with view of river to cool off as hubby went fishing and loan of free use crab pots. Lots more stuff there amazing place will be back.
