This campsite was an area part of one of the paddocks, it was nice, quiet and secluded with a short walk to the river that had a couple of waterholes for a dip. Good fire pit set up with a tripod. Plenty of shade to relax under. Hosts George and Jen were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Thanks again for having us.
This was a really peaceful camp.
We had hammocks in the trees, all our food cooked over the fire and a happy dog exploring the little river with us. Jen and George were friendly, helpful hosts, and we'd definitely recommend this spot. We also loved driving the road between their place and Aratula for coffee, the scenery is so beautiful.
We added the firewood extra to our booking and we had plenty for our stay. Makes it much easier than bringing it in!

Great spot. George and Jen made us feel welcome. Will be back.

Well we were lucky – we got running water at the river which you could hear from camp. The cows came to say hi on our first evening and on the second we were joined by the farm dog who loved to play fetch – even in the dark!!! Lots of little finches who also loved the windscreen, mirrors and anything shiny on the cars.
Despite being underwater only two weeks ago, there was a site cleared for us which was perfect size. A couple of good trees for hammocks and the new tap for rinsing plates etc was definitely welcomed.
The camp is private, quite and not that far from Brisbane for a Friday evening set-up. We had a lovely breeze during the day, the evenings were cooler, but not cold. The fire pit with tripod and swing grill were awesome. Communication prior and instructions on arrival were accurate.
The site was easy to get to and George gave us plenty of information. The site was flat and the grass was very long, the owner was unable to mow it due to the recent rain. So we bought our whipper snipper and cleared our site. We also cleared a site down at the river so we could access it easily for the weekend. There was a bore water tap we could use for rinsing plates and washing our feet etc. The weekend we stayed there was a really big storm, and the owner offered us the use of his garage for our cars if we wanted which was nice. Would recommend this place for 4WD only in the wet. We got in/out easily in our Holden Colorado and our Lifestyle Breakaway Ultra Pop top van. Was very slippery coming out this next day. The owners dog did bark a fair bit, but were were far enough away you could barely hear it. Bring earplugs there was plenty of frogs during the night (might be because of the recent rain). The small river was flowing nicely and there was a nice little spar bath we could just dunk in. Nice spot. Would go back. Thanks George and Jen

Nice flat area with shady trees, picturesque, only minus was the yapping dog.
We enjoyed our stay at Private Bendy River Camp.
The host George accompanied us to the camp site and made us feel welcome. The fire wood was bought down to our fire pit for us and was a generous amount. We took our dog for a walk to the front dam where he enjoyed a swim playing fetch.
It was a peaceful and rest full stay.
We would visit again.
Malcolm, Pauline and Barney.
Great open private space which wasn’t too far from Brisbane.
Very enjoyable stay
