Causeway camp #1 is a roomy site situated on the edge of a large paddock surrounded by rainforest. Access is easy via a causeway over the creek to the eastern side of the farm.
There is spring-fed water available from a tap at the solar pump.
After you enter the property, turn left at the sign halfway up the driveway, head over the concrete causeway, over the creek, then turn left again as soon as you enter the large paddock.
Site 1 has lots of shade available, with the campsite on the edge of the tree line giving shade from the setting sun.
Fireplaces and free firewood are available. The firewood is collected from normal farm activity, so first in - best served.
The long (and quiet) beach, a huge park and the cafe are 2km from the farm. There is fishing all along the beach with access to national park beach and river fishing. Three freshwater swimming holes are within a 15-25 minute drive. Croc and wildlife spotting is available 15 minutes away.
Please keep dogs on the leash and children supervised as there are Cassowaries transiting the farm.
Take all rubbish out with you. Do not use the farm bins. Thank you.

Shade and sun. Best of both. It was quiet and I had the space to myself. The other two sites were unoccupied but far enough away that if they were, I wouldn't mind. I met the owner who was lovely. We will be making thus our new spot. Very happy 😊

Really nice location just 2 minutes from the beach. Everyone has a massive site all to themselves which was great. Jo the host is so lovely and helpful. She brought a fire pit to us to use plus she directed us to where we could find firewood. Our site was elevated and took a bit of levelling of the van but other than that, it was perfect! We have a big 22’6 off road van which we got in and out no problems. Highly recommend this place and the host! 👍 Chris
