Bowen is a relaxed town with old architecture and wide streets. The coastline is postcard perfect with turquoise water and white sandy beaches. There are beautiful beaches all around Bowen for swimming and snorkelling - checking out the small reefs close to shore is a must. Or just relax in front of the campfire with your dog.
Explore Horseshoe Bay, Murrays Bay, Rose Bay, Grays, Kings and Queens Beaches, the Town Beach and Dalrymple Point. The local pubs offer great meals in beer gardens.

Trudy was an amazing host. We received a little gift on arrival. Trudy picked mangoes straight from her tree for us & constantly reminded us that we were welcome to swim in the pool. We had a large open area with spectacular views all to ourselves. In the still of the night you could hear the ocean. Pets are welcome & our little one eventually made friends with Trudy's little dog. Only 10min into beautiful Bowen that has the most beautiful beaches we have seen. Was only going to stay 1 night & stayed 3 nights. Thank you Trudy for your amazing hospitality. Definitely will be back x
Great spot just outside Bowen. So peaceful and outlook of farming and mountains. Very relaxing.

Trudys place just out of Bowen was a fantastic retreat for us. Her property has great flat sites with plenty of room. We loved that there were firepits (which we didn't use unfortunately as we had to do some home schooling!). We also loved that you could purchase fresh eggs . They were delicious! A picturesque and peaceful place to stay. The host Trudy was very welcoming and could not do enough for us. We really enjoyed the rural atmosphere and the haircut was an added bonus!

My wife and I have stayed in over 30 Hipcamps and Trudy is in our top 3 of hosts. We had a great time tucked away in the backyard well away from the house in shade with a great view of the hills & sugarcanes with Comet the horse visiting us each day (loves carrots & apples). My wife also had her hair done since Trudy is a hairdresser so that was a bonus... Located just 10 minutes from Bowen which has some great beaches and the Grandview hotel is great for food and ambience.
We stayed an extra 3 nights and dont forget to ask Trudy about the Secret Squirrel visitors.

Great spot out the back nicely kept with views of the surrounding farms. No road noise. Hosts very friendly and helpful 19mins to Bowen Beaches etc.

What a great Country setting Great hosts greeted us very friendly and helpful. We got to pick where we put the Van. A Fire pit was provided and wood available to purchase. Went for a walk around the property and great views of the MountIns a few farm Animals. Bins provided for waste and recycling, no problem with grey water. Great place to stay.
