The sites are very easy to find and clearly marked.
We stayed 5 nights at Site 5 Cabbage Gum Camp and it was an amazing camp site!
It is a very large cleared area with even ground and plenty of shade.
It has a lovely fire pit with a spot for the camp oven. There is plenty of deadwood laying around and we took our own chainsaw.
Within walking distance to the boat ramp at the river and areas for crab pots. Unfortunately we only caught a couple of small fish but did get 2 giant mud crabs!
One of the best features is that all the camps are spaced well apart from each other so you have your privacy.
We had a visit from the cows each day and couldn’t believe how close they came… they are so quiet!
We absolutely loved our stay and so did our dogs.

Our host Colleen was an absolute legend! Made our first Hipcamp experience one we won’t forget! Only downside was not staying longer in this beautiful spot.
Beautiful flat site and very private , great fire pit and a wonderful view , we got to see a beautiful full moon .Lots of different bird life and kangaroos .Host Colleen was very welcoming.We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this beautiful Hipcamp.

Super spacious lovely site, and Colleen is so incredibly lovely. Great spot to get away from the noise, have a good fire and see some amazing stars.
What can we say, this stay was one of the best we have been on yet , 1800 acres 5 camps all well seperated for your own personal area , fire pit at each camp , fishing crabing , wildlife, plenty of fire wood . Central to Bowen and Airlie Beach ( around half hr to either ) this is a great spot to base yourself to explore . Or just stay and enjoy the wildlife. Colleen our host was just a pleasure to talk to and a wealth of knowledge. Will definetely return on our way back down south.
