Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for tinnys for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available.
Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace.
Access to the camping area is for 4WD only.
Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect it yourself.
There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers.
Ben Lomond has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.

Brilliant, amazing, we will be back
What a gem of a place. So much space. Close to the creek to fish, crab… enjoy nature at its best.
Our camp site had a fire pit which we used to the max making our evenings that more special.
What’s not to love about a camp fire, marshmallows and star gazing.
Collen our host was so welcoming. Met us and took us to our camp site which is a 5-6 minute drive from the meeting point.
There are two creeks which you need to cross getting to the camp sites. Keep this in mind for arrival and departure times.
Colleen does advise you of this in her confirmation details.
Superb stay. highly recommended.
Had an absolutely awesome 2 night stay here. Fished the creek and also chucked a couple crabs pots in. Perfect for a quiet get away in the middle of the bush. There's Roos, wallabies, flying foxes and parakeets. Each site is nicely spread so you cannot hear or barely see the other sites. I saw noone for my whole stay which is just what I wanted :) I would definitely visit here again. Thank you so much Colleen and Rob. I'll see you again soon.
Absolute awesome camping spot we had a great relaxing weekend. Hosts Colleen and Rob very welcoming and friendly - thank heaps . Fishing was quiet but have no doubt it would fire up at certain times. Will definitely be back with the tinny. Thank you for a great weekend. Cheers Carl n Fiona
Excellent camp location, Colleen was very helpful offering some good insight into the area and property. Very quite and piece full spot
Abundance of bird life, heaps of friendly wallabies are station cattle, next visit we will be prepared for the fishing.
Definitely will return
Put it on your bucket list.
Top spot for peace and quiet. Friendly hostess, Colleen ..... thanks for opening up your property. All sites looked very good, some shade if needed, roomy, firepits and pretty level. Didn't have a lot of luck with fishing but maybe the fish were just a bit too clever .... they loved the prawns we fed them!
