Welcome to Beckford, where we have 30km of Broken River frontage and we operate a 150,000 acre cattle station. It's hilly open forest country with amazing night skies and private campsites on the river with sandy beach access. 4WD access required. Caravans with good clearance will be fine. After rain and wet weather it is recommended not to come - access is not good. We may need to cancel your booking (you'll be fully refunded). A number of our favourite sites require some proper 4WDing through very loose sand so you may need to deflate your tyres to deal with these conditions. Previous guests have told us this adds to the adventure. We are usually around to help & have a compressor for use in the shed if required.
Children aged 12 and under camp for free.
Dog friendly (see rules - we have livestock, must be well controlled at all times).
Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please check before lighting fires). Free firewood laying about to collect your own.
IMPORTANT: we don't have a "google" road address so it's hard to find us and there is no mobile reception. Refer to directions in TRIPS once your booking is confirmed.

What an amazing experience camping completely self sufficient on the banks of the Broken River, a big thank you to the lovely Beckford River station family, we will return🙂
Lovely place in the world. The site was flat, fire pit established, plenty of fire wood. Quiet and relaxing. Would defiantly love to camp at this spot again.
Great spot on the river. Nice and secluded. Perfect spot to get away for a couple of nights or more
Camp site we stayed at was amazing and the owners were ver accomodating. Great little spot right on the water.
Loved it. Regan put us onto a great spot. River had a good flow in it Roads were good. Starry nights. Perfect .
A great opportunity to be able to stay and enjoy some of the most beautiful countryside in the Whitsunday region.
Camp site was very peaceful with beautiful views of the freshwater river. The campsite had not been used for sometime evidenced by woody weeds growing everywhere which were a bit of a foot hazard when wearing thongs.Ample firewood available for any size campfire.
Very open camping area with plenty of shade and space right on the creek bank. Property owners where lovely to deal and were very hospitable.
Obviously being private property you can’t go wondering but in all honesty, you don’t need to. There are plenty of places to explore within walking distance of the campsite along the creek (fishing spots, rapids, swimming spots).
Take an axe or chainsaw cause there’s plenty of firewood but it’s not chopped up (wasn’t when we visited).
The only fresh water is the creek water so take whatever water you think you will need and there’s some sand, so 4WD is required.
Great spot for singles, couples or family’s. I have no negatives to list at all. We had a blast and will definitely be going back.
