If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was a nice campground (similar to many provincial campgrounds we've camped at) and it turns out we recognized it and are pretty sure we stayed here 20 years ago. It is really https://campingdelapointe.ca/en/ and if you book through that website it will be cheaper than booking through Hip Camp (do the comparison yourself). Also, I'm pretty sure that through the Hip Camp information we got it said you could arrive any time before 9 pm. We were lucky - we arrived at 7 pm and if we had got there 2 minutes later, the office would have been closed and we wouldn't have known which campsite to set up our tent at.
Really enjoyed staying here. Nice campground and beautiful beach. Although it was quite a walk from our site to get to the water, we would love to come back. Super nice staff that helped us when we arrived late!
Site location matters
Large campground with a variety of different kinds of sites. Some are private while others are quite close together which would work well if you are in a large group. We only wanted one site so the close proximity to our neighbors wasn't ideal. They have potable water on site which is fantastic and showers up in the main check-in area. We rented electric bikes and toured the island, gorgeous area. If you are planning on doing this you can easily use the 1st and 2nd setting on the bike to aid your ride and 3 or 4 on hills. It should also be noted that the pool is out of order this summer. A nice place to stay near the river if you choose your location correctly.
