Come camp on this historic provincial heritage site & farm!

Originally built in 1870 as a Métis fishing lodge for the lord of the Matapedia region is on a 118-acre faunic reserve at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains (there are paths to them right in the backyard), and the front of the lodge goes up to the Matapedia river for which we have river shore rights. Composting toilet on-site. Pets welcome! Ideal for tenters, van camping, and RVs!

Full of various mixed trees and medicinal plants of the boreal forest, the land is also rich in numerous berries and teeming wildlife.

Grocery and restaurants within minutes drive to the campsite.

We look forward to hosting you!

We had a great time staying on Anton's land for 6 nights. We used his spot as a great jumping off point for day tours. The Metapedia River is stunning and makes for great sight-seeing. We biked, hiked and kayak'd all over the area.
We have a 26' foot 5th wheel and an F150 long box. Manouvering on Anton's land was tight for our size. I think a 20' (or smaller) camper would be more suited for getting in and out of the sites that Anton has to offer.
By far the best part of staying on Anton's land was Anton himself. He is an incredible human being. He was interesting and very generous with his time and assistance.

Anton was very accommodating and responsive. I just needed a place to spend the night on my way from Quebec City to Halifax and this have me exactly that. Unfortunately I arrived late and left early so I didn’t have much chance to explore the property.
