Great site w/ amazing view /host
We arrived just a couple hours before sundown to smiling Lily who let us to the most beautiful campsite with an incredible view, fire circle and chairs a waiting. As it was quite cold and look like rain they graciously offered us to stay in their guest house for no extra charge, but we stuck to our car camping and despite the weather, we are glad that we did. This would be a place to come to and stay for an extended visit and explore the beautiful words and landscape.
Starr farm, a slice of heaven!
Starr Farm is a beautiful and pristine camping site! It gave us the complete privacy we desire when we just want to get away from it all. As we drove along a small dirt road lined by trees and forests all around, the anticipation builds til you come to the end where the sky opens up and a huge field of grass stands before you. A fire pit with a heavy duty cooking grate made preparing meals easy. A rustic building with a pit toilet was a great and welcomed addition. We had a great time exploring along miles of trails and the scenery is stunning! Liliana was a gracious host. We will definitely be going back.
Shake down trip stop #2
07-06-21 one nite with camp fired grilled meal at 1438 elevation and a good half mile from a hard road peace and quiet awaits. Be prepared to rough it primative is the word of the day . Open meadow with a back drop of hard wood forest. Everyone in our group felt at home in the wilds of PA
Beautiful property to stay on and Mike was a welcoming host. Private field with large fire pit and grill. We had a fire every night. Our dog loved playing catch in the field. Lots of hiking trails around the property. Was awesome to hike down to watch the horses for a while. They came close to my husband one of his trips to the pasture. There was a hand pump well, but we brought our own water. Also a covered vault toilet with TP provided. Said immediately that we would come back and bring some friends. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of shade to keep cool through the day. Not much in the neighboring town but there is a grocery and a dollar store for incidentals if needed.
This site is AMAZING! Miles of hiking trails that are every bit as well maintained as a state park, all surrounding a giant campsite with a perfect fire pit and views of stars at night. Didn’t see or hear another human for three days despite walking miles in each direction. Friendly and helpful hosts. Cannot wait to go back!!
