Rustic cabin has a loft for sleeping. Camping indoors. Great for outdoors people who want to bicycle, hike, snowshoe, and kayak days on Red Bank Creek trails. The acreage is beautiful and quite private. Dogs love it too. The cabin is dark and conducive to " early to bed and early to rise" active explorers. Sleep well in the quiet with a sturdy door and a roof which means no leaky tent. Heat water on stove to clean up or to make soup. The heat from woodstove goes up to loft area. Avoid traipsing to toilet outside in middle of night, compost loo is downstairs. No flush to wake anyone, just cover with sawdust provided. The trails begin in Brookville 3 miles away and go 50 miles to the Allegheny River. Or do our 1 hour pink marked hike loop on the property. Be aware for winter camping, floor of cabin is concrete and often damp, therefore sleep up in loft.
Small firepit next to picnic table outside along a stream, which may be gushing or a trickle depending on weather and time of year. The downstairs of cabin is cool on hottest day due to sandstone walls and in winter naturally somewhat warmer than outside. Unsplit firewood provided. I have a cohost who is not intrusive who helps greet you when I am not available. She sells fresh eggs if you'd like some. The duck eggs are best. An axe and bow saw a single log splitter available for your use.

Perfect cabin for a weekend trip
This cabin is wonderful! I spent my 26th birthday here with my friends, boyfriend and his pup. We had a blast. The property is gorgeous and the loft is perfect and cozy for sleeping. Definitely already planning a return trip next Summer!
Thanks so much for offering this little gem of a place! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here enjoying the cozy off grid cabin and hiking through the property. Had everything we needed to unplug and enjoy each other’s company and nature. Thanks to Judy for the delicious duck eggs and Linda for providing this awesome little hobbit dwelling.
