Thank you for your interest into our campground! RoundStone has been an operational campground for nearly 10 years now, and the property has been with the Grover's since the late 1800's. With nearly 400 acres, our sites are spread out as much as possible in efforts to give everyone enough space to enjoy rustic camping as it should be. Each spot presents positives and negatives, so feel free to ask questions to ensure your best possible experience!
Please note, we utilize porta-johns throughout the grounds. However, some sites may be further to the closest toilet based on seclusion level. We do not provide drinkable water or showers but we allow responsible use of our beautiful stream for cleaning. We do not provide electricity or WIFI, and do not provide any tents, tarps or anything else that may be needed to experience the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. We also sell firewood on the premises as we do not allow outside wood to be brought in as we try to protect our forest from outside disease. Lastly, being in the Appalachian Mountains we do have loads of wildlife including black bears that have a tendency to visit. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay.
In efforts for you to enjoy nature at it's finest, we strive for seclusion and privacy of our campers. While we feel each site is private you will notice others enjoying our grounds, and do note that noise does travel differently in the mountains. There are some groups of two, families and larger groups enjoying themselves. Each site offers a different experience, which is why we feel it is important to speak with us prior to booking so we can get you in the best spot for your experience.
The day you are due to come to our grounds, please message us. At that time, we will send you directions to your site. We do not have a check in desk. You just go directly to your spot, so messaging prior is VERY important!

My fiancé and I stayed in Tent Site #2 and loved it. The camping sites are spread out so you don’t see your neighbors and truly have that feeling of isolation which is just what we were looking for. It also had a nice little wooded path that took as back to the stream. The host was great with communication and we will definitely be back!
Great site and great communication. Site #3 is beautifully situated. We are planning spring trip already.
Great little spot! The RoundStone host was extremely helpful as well. It was a very enjoyable weekend getaway.
Perfect for what we were looking for. Primitive enough, yet accessible. Not your typical campground. Will definitely come back again and again.

RoundStone was incredibly easy to get to. It was super easy to get firewood and the directions to our campsite were spot on. We stayed at site 15 (Sams Spot), which ended up being a little more hilly than expected, but we were uphill from the creek which was awesome. The fire ring was great, the grill was a little small for our large group but we worked with it. There were a couple of trails around the area, we also had some space for some games like football and Kan Jam at the dead end where we were at. We were very secluded and we heard no one else except for the occasional person making a U-Turn at the end of the road.
This site was awesome, with a full moon it was beautiful. We did have a couple visits by a bear, but putting all the food away at night kept them away. Loved that the wood was available to get when needed and the option to Venmo after was awesome. Exactly the weekend we needed!

We stayed at tent site #1. There were several excellent options to set up tents. We camp out of the back of our vehicle and were able to park right down by the water and had plenty of room for our 4 person tent. The picnic table was large and study. We were conveniently located by a port-a-john. The site was a little closer to others than we'd hoped. We were able to hear other camper's music late into the night.
Great camp hosts! The site was exactly as advertised and what we were looking for. We'll be back!
