Not private! Felt invaded.
Nice little pull off spot next to the creek. Not as secluded as pictured, across the street from what seemed to be an abandoned property, but the lights were on all night. I arrived to the location around 6pm and purchased a firewood bundle in advance (only got 4 pieces of wood) and built a fire to light when I got back after visiting Sunbury. While I was in Sunbury for a few hours I came back to the camp and my fire/firewood had been burned (were still embers) and someone had used the site (moved the provided chairs and my fishing rods all around) and left trash. At this point it was 11pm and I didn’t really want to stay but could not reach the owner and was already committed/too far from home. Won’t be doing this again.

We just used it as a place to crash mid trip but it was nice and large and secluded. Just a little confusing to find in the dark late at night. We’d definitely come back.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the place in person! It was great! The rippling creek was amazing! It's really shallow and you could walk across it but it was wide and steady moving and provided a fantastic atmosphere. My dogs first reaction was to lay in it lol!
The U was spacious, no problems pulling in or out. The firepit and seating is part of the same lot and right next to the U. It's not private, but it's your own little place in the neighborhood with a creek in your yard.
Neighborhood was quiet, neighbors were friendly, even saw some horse drawn carts making there runs.
Would definitely stay here again next time I need a get away.
FYI, about 50/50 with sun and tree shade if your relying on mounted solar panels.

Beautiful creekside stop! We arrived late and Brenda responded right away and helped is navigate the road to the site. Wish we would have had more time here :)

Great for bicycle, kayaks fishing
To be honest, I hesitate to give this site a great review and have everyone flock to it and restrict our access to it!. But here goes; This is a great location right on the warm water, non Trout portion of the Penns Creek, at least in mid-summer. But directly across the stream are all the sunfish, rock and smallmouth bass you need. Just above the site, and below the public pavilion and parking area, where I put my paddle board and others put their kayaks in , I saw 2 bass or carp cruising in the flats well over 2 feet long (and I'm a 50 year plus trout and fly fisherman). One kayaker hoisted a smallie he said measured at 20 inches. Close to Shade Mtn and Union Cellars wineries, Rusty Rail Brewery, Mifflinburg Rail Trail that goes all the way back to Lewisburg, and decent access to Penns Cold water fishery about a half hour upstream. Bonus: great biking out of this site upstream especially. Many nice paved roads with MOST people receptive to cyclists due to the competitive, well equipped cyclists frequenting the same roads. Stunning views at every turn. Great spot, will return, unless this review causes it to sell out!
