Spacious site with amazing overlook
Beautiful view!! Site was easily accessible and great location for our 26’ trailer. Hookups were easy and the site came with many awesome features. The bistro lights were a favorite! Mason was a great host and super helpful. There were plenty of trails on the property and we look forward to visiting again and exploring more of the area :)
Our trailer fit!
We have a 33 foot Trailer and we were able to back it in and get it leveled easily. The site was huge and the view was beautiful. It’s away from other sites, so it feels private, quiet and serene. We walked the trails and had a great time. Amenities were similar to a state park but even more touches like dog leads and chess/checker pieces. They also had porta potties for each site that were well maintained.
Managed to camp here during peak fall foliage - just gorgeous! The campsite is perfectly situated at an overlook and is extremely well maintained. The campsite felt private and secluded from the other sites, and the overhead string lights were a game changer. Two "private" port-o-potties were provided (each campsite is designated their own), as well as a flush toilet and shower at the camp store.
We took a 0.5 mile walk around the property and loved seeing the chicken coops, games garden, etc. There's so much care and attention to detail; it's obvious the owners are passionate about creating a fun, relaxing environment for people to sit back and enjoy nature. We'll definitely be back!
View from Red Maple site is extraordinary. Property is amazing. Also, only 25 min drive from the Western Maryland Rail Trail. Did a beautiful family bike ride. Mason was an excellent host and met us upon our arrival to give us an overview. Will be returning for sure. Kids (10 and 5) had a blast.
Lovely spot overlooking valley
Mason was very responsive and lead us to the site and showed us the basic amenities. Power and water are located 50’+ from the general location of where your rv hookups may be, so be sure to bring extra lengths.
Adventures in grouseland
We loved our Red Maple Campsite stay at Grouseland. Mason was very easy to communicate with prior to our stay. The way the site was situated on the side of the hill was like the scenic vibe of some back country campsites in the mountains/hills with the amenities you might desire when car camping, such as a potable water, fire pit, grill and spacious tables. Some extra perks included those ambience outdoor lights on a timer and firewood covered by a hutch, which is so necessary with ongoing summer rain. We arrived at camp on the late side and wanted to spend some extra time getting settled the next morning so what a delight to stay on property and explore the many trails with destinations like the treehouse and swing on the top of the hill. We overpacked not pausing to take note of all that was offered. Mason left an extra dog lead, there were some fire skewers, an extension cord to take advantage of the electricity the site offers and even a side table that is great for setting up a cooking station. The potable water was at the site!! What's not to love?! We hope to come back with friends or family in the future.
