This was the perfect first stop on our cross-country trip in a campervan. The site was level and far enough away to feel quiet and secluded. It was raining, so we didn’t get to sit around the fire pit but it was great to have that space. The creek flowing by the site was a beautiful feature and the sound was nice to fall asleep to. We can’t wait to come back to this gem!
Sleep beside a babbling brook
A lovely spot, nestled in the mountains, beside a babbling brook! We loved our stay here, watching the farm animals graze and listening to the wildlife at night. A beautiful, private spot to relax and unwind. The host was helpful, kind and flexible. Would recommend this site!
Perfect farm campsite
What an awesome stay for our family. These guys have such a great property and picked some fun spots to build each of their campsites. We would absolutely be back to camp out there again.
We loved this spot & were lucky to grab it last-minute! The whole place was quiet and peaceful, The farm animals were fun to see. Josh was very communicative and helpful, had our wood and fresh eggs ready when we arrived! Lovely place and the views were really great too!
My 3 friends and I had a beautiful stay at Summer Salad Bar. Our hosts were very welcoming and accessible, and Site 1 was incredibly peaceful with beautiful views of open fields (and really cute cows). There was just enough privacy for us and the sound of the creek running along the campsite was very soothing. We enjoyed peeking at all the farm animals and taking advantage of the firewood and fresh eggs available on site. Would definitely visit again :)
Idyllic farm stay with great hosts
Josh and Nichole were really attentive hosts - making sure we had the information we needed to stay at their beautiful farm. The camping spot was lovely - right next to a bubbling stream under a tree canopy. The sounds of the birds and animals were a fun addition. Highly recommended.
Be back soon!
With the surrounding farmland and a creek running alongside our site, Summer Salad Bar was one of the prettiest camp grounds we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and communication was easy. Would definitely recommend and we’re looking forward to staying again in the future!
Such a beautiful spot!
We absolutely loved our stay at Summer Salad Bar. My husband and I stayed at Site 1 and really enjoyed the sound of the water from the creek - it really added to the ambience of the site. The site had the perfect mix of sun and shade and was easily our favorite of the three sites. Site 1 is quite separate from sites 2 and 3, and is really the most beautiful spot on the property.
The site was clean, ready for us to use right away, and we barely even knew that Joshua and Nichole were there until we met Nichole and two of her kids the next morning. They were very friendly and welcoming!
We had a great time exploring the farm as well. We saw sheep, goats, cows, and chickens, but our favorite part were the barn cats and dog. One of the cats was so friendly that she followed us around and would lay down on her side for belly rubs!
Our stay was perfect and we can’t wait to return one day!
My favorite weekend getaway
The perfect weekend getaway!! Summer salad is the most relaxing and beautiful property. Highly recommend. We stayed at site 1 but explored all 3 sites as the others were vacant and they are all wonderful. This is my second time staying here and will not be the last!!
