Beautiful spot, the river is right down the path and there’s an awesome overlook. Good spots in the woods. Mathew was a super cool guy and very welcoming. I’d absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

Perfect stopover on a cross-country trip in our campervan. Definitely primitive, but the creek is lovely and the fly fishing really is outstanding!

It was primitive camping, but sites were easy to find and access to the creek was great!

I really enjoyed waking up to sun and a slight breeze that dried out all my gear by the time I left. Finding the campsite what was difficult, even in daylight. There was no indication where to camp or where a fire pit was until I backed up and saw that I had driven over a ring of flat stones on the ground. Plenty of dry wood to scrounge up.
As I set my tent up at dusk, loud booming fireworks sounded from across the river. They ended around 830, thankfully. Once the firework stopped I realized I could hear semi traffic from I 90! That kept me awake for a while. However, when the rain started pouring in the middle of the night, I was relieved to not hear the sounds of traffic anymore and slept soundly.
In the morning I got to see a man fly fishing catch a good size fish! That was fun.
Still not sure if I was actually in a campsite, but my experience overall was OK. I may have made a different decision had I known it was not a quiet place to camp.

Nice Quiet site down by the river. We came in late and were the only ones there but came across a couple of people fly fishing in the morning.

Great little stop on my way across the country!

I only stayed one night, but had a great perch right above the river looking down onto it.

I don’t fish but I can see why it’d be such a good spot for it! The river was wide and more beautiful than the photos. I wish I could have stayed to explore it more!

I would definitely stop back if I’m driving through this area again. And the directions to get to the camp site were simple and easy!

Thanks so much Mark!

This is a really lovely area and the creek is really fantastic. The camping is very, very primitive - we were able to find a nice spot for our tent but aside from one site a pretty substantial walk in there is nothing to distinguish campsites. But, being on a gated road, there was also no one else around and the solitude was great. It's just a short walk down to the creek where there is a really great swimming hole, crystal-clear with lots of fish. We had a great time.

This campsite is just 20 minutes from any and all of the sites in Erie, PA. It was a perfect location! We enjoyed our time while camping in our truck camper.
