Dennis Alan City Boy Homesteader here. I moved from the NYC area to build an off grid homestead on a bare 28 acres in central PA surrounded by Amish farms. The land is still pretty much raw and beautiful with many different spots on the property to pitch a tent for the night or week! From pitching a tent on an open pasture, surrounded by trees alone, next to a creek, or even in an old rock quarry. That's right there are two old rock quarries that you could take advantage of. The small on has it's own little cave at the base and the larger one has a stage made of rocks to facilitate shows there. Our neighbor is the famous Woodward Cave and just down the road is one of the top 5 trout fishing spots in the northeast, Coburn PA. A town over, at the only light around, is Millheim, PA where the few businesses are a cool art gallery, farm to table restaurant/ brew pub, IngleBean (.com) Coffee House (that I own), local winery, 2 wine stores and a local meat market! wow great place to be on a Saturday afternoon. Most weekends in the summer will have some kind of fair or festival going on so please check in with me with any questions.

We will definitely stay on Dennis’ property again. Really cool camp sites! Our family had a great weekend. Thanks!

I was lucky to have clear skies, this site has the best view IMO of the night sky, wind kept the bugs down. I went to Bald Eagle to ride adv trails and got stuck on some single track and had to walk out 5 miles. Next day Dennis was nice enough to drive me to rangers station so they could get me to trail head so I could hike to retrieve my motorcycle.
Nice Guy, great site!
Dennis was great to work with and site was awesome. Would highly recommend.
I cannot say enough positive things about Dennis or the site! You Definitely Need a jeep! It was so amazing to climb to the top of the mountain in the jeep and camp. It was just us. No other campsites. You could see for miles!! Beautiful and breathtaking! Thank you so much Dennis! We will be back.

I stayed at this site for 2 nights after initially only booking one night. This particular site is nicely situated on a cliff next to the quarry and offers a nice beautiful view of the moon (see picture), environment and landscape. It is very serene and you can hear the Amish work with their horses. It is like a different worlds away from normal hectic life!
Would I go back? I booked a second night after my first one, so that says it all!

Dennis was a great host and the location was super! Quiet and clean next to a 300ft cliff into the quarry! You can hear the Amish carriages and horses. Would definitely go back and as a matter of fact, I stayed a second night.
I arrived on an adventure motorcycle and getting in and out of the spot was a bit tricky, but certainly doable!
For future visitors: the address does not have a visible number on the street, I had to ask the Amish neighbor, who quickly explained where to go.

The site was truly unique with the most amazing views and a awesome sunrise. This was a fantastic weekend for my daughter and I. Great, spacious and very private site. The host was fantastic and engaging when approached and totally respectful of everyone’s personal space.
We will be back! Loved it. Thanks Dennis.

Really cool and private little place. The host Dennis is super nice as well.
