Peace and tranquility on large wooded property. On site creeks and hiking trails. Campsite areas are large and spread apart. Very kid and pet friendly!

At present we have 3 standard sites available for Hipcampers! Standard sites are primitive sites designed for tent camping. Each site is a large groomed area with a fire pit, picnic table, places for tent(s), and a graveled area for two vehicles. Though these sites are designed primarily for temp camping, small (up to 20') RV's are permitted (ideal for camper vans and teardrops), but there are no hookups of any kind.

The camping area features a large creek (Clear Creek) with two feeder streams pouring into the main creek via waterfalls (one approx. 5' tall, the other 12'+). Most of the creek frontage is approx. 12' above the water, but the center of the property offers a large common area including easy access to the main creek and one of the feeder streams.

In addition to the main road, there are two walking trails. The "Chop Wood" trail skims the base of the steep hill that forms the east border of the camping area. The "Carry Water" trail runs along the creek with stunning views looking down on the creek from above.

Zen Acres is a work in progress. We began 2022 offering the first 3 sites to Hipcampers for the first time. We hope to finish a couple more standard sites before the end of the season, and over the coming months and years plan to introduce many additional features and options including Premium sites that may include things such as covered areas, sleeper cabins, yurts, etc.. We also plan to continue to improve the common areas to include more picnic tables and grooms shady spots, more small creek frontage, and possibly a common covered area and/or small meeting room. In July of 2022 we added public wifi access up at the top of the hill (near the house there is a small parking area guests can come up and access wifi).

Zen Acres sits in an ideal outdoor recreation area:

- We are next door to Metzler County Park. Metzler has day use, playground, sports fields, full bathrooms, showers, more clear creek access, and more.

- 5 miles to Milo Mciver State Park. Day use. Clackamas River access, boat launches, off leash dog park, and more.

- 7 miles to Downtown Estacada.

- 12 miles to Promontory Park and the Mt Hood National Forest offering a plethora of nearby fishing, boating, paddling, swimming, hiking, ORV, etc...

The entire staff reflects the leadership philosophy at Zen Acres—very kind and zen like. The area was quiet and much more private than a park campground would be. The creek is sizable and our teens and pup loved playing in it.

We enjoyed this peaceful and private setting. The creek provided a lovely lullaby for our sleep and the dogs loved the open space to explore. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves most of the time. The park close by is a bonus if the camping site starts to feel too "primitive". Mike is a welcoming and accommodating host with a fantastic energy that makes interactions with him enjoyable!

Easy location to get to and Mike has a good set up going. Looking forward some easy improvements that he is planning. Pretty rustic sites and a little walk to the water, but really peaceful and river was perfect!

Great family spot!
Incredibly beautiful land, nice and quiet.
The creek is stunning and perfect for sitting on the rocks and playing we had our 7 and 2 year old with us along with our dog.
It’s very shaded so it’s perfect when it’s blazing hot.

Mike was such a wonderful host! The property is absolutely spectacular and he gave us a fantastic tour and answered all our questions. He spaced the camp sites far enough apart so we felt secluded, but he still came around to check on us and see if we needed anything. I also have a pup and the place is so dog friendly, she could roam around off leash and play in the creek with us. 12/10 would recommend!

We absolutely LOVED Mike’s property. We stayed at site 3 and there was plenty of room for our group with two tents and two cars. The site was well groomed and beautiful-so much greenery. The picnic table and fire pit were a very nice perk as well. The porta-potty wasn’t too far from our spot and we had great access to the creek. It was quiet, there was a lot of space between campsites, and we were able to have our dogs off leash. Mike was very friendly and helpful, an excellent host. There are also wells on the property you can use if you didn’t bring enough water. We can’t wait to see the expansion of the property-he’s working on a lot of great things! We will be back soon!
