Yurt Glamping at its best! Get the outdoor adventure without the discomfort of camping. Yurt includes queen bed, linens, towels & heat. Free WiFi & coffee. Meals available on site. Super clean bathroom-shower building has separate locking rooms for complete privacy. Rent our pedal bikes or ebikes to cruise the famous Banks-Vernonia State Trail which runs through property. Relax by the pond or enjoy playing a game in our straw bale lodge.
The yurts have one queen bed, however the space can handle two additional single hideaway beds if you don't mind it getting a bit cramped in there. The price listed is for two guests. Add $20 per night for guests three and four. $20 fee includes: hideabed setup, sheets, pillow, comforter and towel. Enjoy complimentary Wifi access during your stay.
Super clean individual bathroom and shower units are available for your complete privacy.
We now offer reasonably priced high-quality breakfast, lunch and dinners prepared in our licensed commercial food cart. Complimentary coffee is available each morning. Due to extreme fire danger we do not allow cooking at Vernonia Springs. Refrigerator is available for your use. No dish washing is allowed.
While the yurts are cool … the straw bale day lodge is probably unlike anything you have seen before! The 3,500 sq. ft. day lodge is the first permitted straw bale structure in Columbia County history. Relax in the straw bale lodge and play board games (Scrabble, chess etc.) or read a book in one of our comfortable chairs. Connect to our Wifi network at no charge. Access to the lodge is available during the hours of 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. The large log pavilion next to the pond is a place you will want to hang out. Relax in a hanging chair in or in a comfortable chair on the floating dock. We have plenty of tables and chairs for eating meals, playing games etc. We provide the following games: bean bag toss, bocce ball and giant jinga.
At night if you would like to have a camp fire we will light one up in the community fire pit near the yurt. S’mores kits are available for purchase!
If you haven’t ridden the Banks-Vernonia State Trail before … add this to your bucket list! The BV Trail as it is called is truly one of the most amazing “rails to trails” bike trails in the U.S. The trail dissects the Vernonia Springs property, so access is several hundred feet from the main gate. We are now renting awesome comfort cruiser pedal bikes and Rad Power electric bikes that will make your ride through the rain forest a breeze! A perfect ride is to head north on the trail 6 miles into downtown Vernonia. The total round trip distance is 12-14 miles. If you want more of a challenge, head south on the trail towards Stub Stewart State Park which is 4 miles up the bike trail and 15 miles to the trail head at the city of Banks. Stub Stewart State Park has an awesome Frisbee golf course as well as a stellar mountain biking trail complex for all skill levels.
Besides the Banks-Vernonia Trail ... we also have over a nature trail on the property for you to enjoy.
Beaver Creek runs through the property and is home to rainbow trout and spawning salmon in the fall. It is an amazing site to see these large fish in six inches of water!
The City of Vernonia has a good market, gas station, hardware store, several bars, restaurants and golf course. There is also a really well done pioneer museum which is worth visiting.
Cannon Beach and Seaside are less than an hour away by car and worth visiting for sure. Portland is only 45 minutes.
Dogs are not allowed on the property or any of the yurts, tents or buildings. However you can leave your dog in the car and take them for a walk on the Banks-Vernonia State Trail.

What a place! Jeff's property is beautiful, something that you can tell he has put a lot of love and work into. The main lodge is gorgeous and a great place to have some morning coffee and breakfast. Our yurt was amazing, it felt like we were staying in a nice hotel under the stars. Rent the bikes and take a ride to the nearby town, its worth it. Vernonia Springs is the perfect place to escape to and unwind, we will definitely be back soon!
Fantastic place! The yurt was very comfortable; the bed was great and it really helped that there was a heater. Jeff was a great host, very helpful and easy to talk to. Location was also awesome: it took about 45 minutes to get to Portland and an hour to Cannon Beach. We went walking on the Banks-Vernonia trail both mornings (didn't get the chance to bike it) and it's a lovely trail. We will definitely be staying here again if we're in the area!
The yurt is situated in a quaint sanctuary with meticulously maintained grounds, clean and modern facilities with a fantasric host. There are many things to do in the area particular if you enjoy hiking or cycling. I will certainly be returning to this hidden gem!
What a beautiful property! It was well maintained and had all the necessities you would need for a pleasant stay - clean bathrooms, comfy bed, soft towels, and picnic tables for your meals . The yurt was pretty warm when we arrived so we walked down the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, which was located right outside of the property! I booked site #3 (osprey) and although it looks like nothing is close by, there is a tent located right next to it. I had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
Gorgeous property! The yurt itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. Jeff was really hospitable and the food for purchase was such a nice treat to have after a day of travel. Very serene and peaceful place to stay the night - can't wait to come back for hammock lounging and soaking up the natural world.
This yurt was a perfect stay and location between Portland and Cannon Beach. There are several yurts on the property, a lodge, clean showers and bathroom. The common spaces are lovely with games and picnic tables.
The beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Oregon!
This was a magical, lovely experience! Beautiful yurt with seriously the most comfortable bed, great clean bathrooms, and fabulous food! Loved the beautiful location and getting to be between Portland and the coast.
The property was really beautiful and quite idyllic. It would definitely be a great spot for a wedding venue. The host, Jeff, was friendly and helpful. There were a few other families staying there as well.
We came in late, around 7 after a long day. The weather was extremely hot, like 90+ and when we went into the yurt it was even hotter. The windows were open but there was no airflow what so ever. It didn't cool down in the yurt a comfortable temperate until well after sunset, maybe around 11pm. Another down side to the year was we couldn't enjoy a bonfire because of fire hazard. Not that anyone would have really wanted to sit around a bonfire in an 80 degree night...
Otherwise the facilities were very nice.
Each yurt had it's own picnic table and chairs and even a hammock. We weren't there long enough to really enjoy everything offered. We would have like to rent bikes and biked the path but we were really just passing through.
I think this place would be absolutely charming and cozy in the winter or cooler weather, where you could snuggle up in your yurt with the heater on or sit in the lodge by a fire. It was a lovely place, the heat was just a buzz kill.
