Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, one of the largest inland islands in the United States. Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan disc-golf course, or just relax on the lawn. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy State Park. We offer two sites; Site A is on flat gravel that enjoys morning shade and full afternoon sun. Site A is across from the large grassy area perfect for sunning and relaxing. This site can accommodate larger trailers and/or motor homes. See parking description for more information if you are a large trailer or motor home. The two sites are separated by trees. The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge. Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We do not allow "shower" tents. Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone. We live next door and are currently finishing a tiny house on a concrete pad (visible on the map). For Site A, you may position your RV to view the grassy area and not the tiny house.

We had a great time staying at tucked away! It was easy to pull in and out of our spot, Kathi was very responsive to messages and so fun to talk to in person! Also, several times a day the field out front was visited by deer and we enjoyed watching them. Lots of hiking nearby, and when we come back we will definitely bring our dogs!
This was my second stay and I loved it just as much, if not more. They've upgraded to a 30amp and are continuing to improve the space - not that it's needed :) I can't begin to express my gratitude for these lovely hosts - both kind and gracious. I hope to be back next season!

Very relaxed and peaceful spot with lots of room to park and hook up our RV. Kathi was a great and laid back host. We made the short trip down to Scappoose Bay to kayak and hike around, but our favorite part of the stay was probably just walks along the road where this property is. We saw lots of deer and a variety of birds in this quiet area.

Tucked Away Retreat is a wonderful place to get away from the noise and hustle and bustle of everyday life. Such a quiet and peaceful setting, easy to find, and a very short drive from the city. Can't get much more peaceful than watching deer graze in the evening and coming face-to-face with two in the shady campsite early in the morning. Plus it's just a short walk to Crown Zellerbach Trail. Thank you, Kathi!
