Tent and hammock camping on the Oregon Coast!

Please read the rules section before booking - the key to a great experience is clear expectations!

Check in ends at 7pm.  Late check-in may be arranged in advance up to 8pm.

This is off-grid forest camping. No power, no lights, and you and your camp stove in the coastal forest in Oregon. Please plan accordingly for your 5 minute walk to the campsites.  Pack light or have a way to transport your gear.

We currently host 2 HipCamp parties for dispersed camping on-site per night.  There are 3 designated areas to accommodate the two parties that might stay with us to give some options.

Your visit requires a guided tour to the campsite, we are firm on check-in times! If you cannot arrive in our check-in window, your booking is voided.

We back forested lands and there are wild black bear and cougar in the area.  Plan accordingly.  We have never had an issue with one of these animals, but we know they are around.  We suggest you store food in your car away from your camp area.

We are a working and developing homestead. Though the campsites are further back in the forest, upfront (and where you park) you will encounter our greenhouse, home, children's play area. Do not be surprised to see a tractor moving about and handling our ongoing farm operations. Depending on the season we may have produce, eggs, or other crafts and goods available for purchase.

-CHECK-IN IS 3-7 PM.  Late check-in may be pre-arranged up to 8 pm.  Arrival after 8 pm is not possible and voids your booking.  Do not arrive after 8 pm.  Please plan accordingly.

-EACH SITE ACCOMMODATES ONE CAR, AND --ONE--ADDITIONAL PARKING SPACE CAN BE ADDED ON IN THE "EXTRAS" --> Extra parking is bought on a per night basis, and may need to be parked away from the trailhead.**

More on the Trip Camp Property!

4 miles from the beautiful village of Yachats, "The Gem of The Oregon Coast." Yachats boasts a wonderful beach, awesome restaurants, a local brewery, and a cute coffee shop.

Surrounded by protected parks and forests, it is a wealth of bio and fungal diversity! Hiking, mountain biking, and plenty of trails and beaches to explore.

The property is 1/2 mile inland from the ocean on 20 private wooded acres, with roughly a 15-minute walk to the beach! We are far enough off the ocean to often escape the oppressive coastal mist, but you can still hear the waves. It's wonderful! Camp in forest, in semi-cleared areas.

Your privacy and safety are important to us. As such, we only host a limited number of campers at a given time. We also respect what you choose to do while connecting with nature. Just please, always be aware of safety and the risk of fires in our area.

This was the perfect spot for our Oregon coast vacation. Nestled in the big trees, but close enough to hear the ocean at night. Otherwise, dark, quiet, and lovely. Our kiddo loved watching the chickens and playing on the play structure. Will definitely come back again! The painted outhouse door is also FABULOUS (plus it’s clean and new, hooray!)

It was nice to find this place to stay during prime tourist season when many (or all) other campgrounds were full. The farm is charming, the hosts were friendly and responsive. The location is great. Far enough removed from Highway 101 that I hardly heard any noise from vehicular traffic. One of the hosts, Glen, told me how to find the trail to the beach a 15-minute walk from my campground and I had a nice walk on the beach with hardly anyone else around. Of the 3 campsites on the property, my site was a little dark and small and not really a place I found myself wanting to just hang out in. It's more of a place to sleep at night and then leave to enjoy the scenic attractions nearby. But it felt private and removed from the other two campsites on the property. The other two sites on the property were nicer, larger, more open, more light, and more appealing to hang out in. All in all, though, I recommend this place and am glad this resource is available to campers like me in the area.

Thanks Harrison! Glad you enjoyed the stay and found your way to the beach. Thanks for the feedback on comfort and lighting, we are continuing to build out options for campers to pick the spots they like best and will see what we can do to make all the sites feel open and light (or give more options as we continue to improve). Thanks for staying and hope to see you back sometime.

No access to the beach.
Originally booked this so my 6 year old and I could walk to the beach (15 min walk stated on website).
Was told that if you cross the highway (walking with said child, which was super busy and dangerous)
That you'd have easy access to a "hidden trail" well I walked up and down poking into the blackberry bushes looking to no avail finally giving up to get my child off the highway while truck were zooming by us.
Raing the doorbell of the house after nobody heard us honking out front of their residence, which was a big no no.
Zero cell reception so no text messages outside their gare to make arrangements like which is kind of posted on the website.
So you definitely want to have a concrete appointment so as not to not be considered a nuance.
If you do arrive with your kid without an actual appointment, you can expect zero niceties.

Was told probably not the best idea to cook on propane grill that I brought next to my camp.
When asked if I could cook next to my vehicle when I was dinner time the gentleman that I talked to said he didn't want people cooking near his house, which I think would be understandable if he wasn't renting his property for camping and then putting restrictions on campers when the website clearly says propane stoves are fine.
Speaking of the website the pictures were really cute.
Mushrooms. A fire pit, and a kid playground which we were not invited to use.
My kid pick the place based on the pictures on their website but, feel like I was bamboozled.
Wanted to leave right away but tufted it out for my son's sake.
So my takeaway from this site is if you want strictly a place to put up a tent and sleep then this is your spot.

Wow Matt, it's unfortunate that you didn't get what you were expecting.  I'd suggest you thoroughly read the descriptions of the sites you plan to book.  Or perhaps, this may be a signal to us that instant booking may not be good to set proper expectations. (I'd suggest folks also review Trip Camp One for further reviews.) -Our descriptions have always noted that we are 1/2 mile inland with a 15-minute walk to the beach.  Highway 101 runs parallel to the ocean, so, unless you're within a block of the beach, you're going to have to cross the highway.   -The trail is subtly marked, and we do tell people which landmarks to find to get there.  Or you're welcome to drive another 1/2 mile down the road to a large pullout with easier access. People who like, quiet, low key sites enjoy that the trail isn't obvious... that's why it's cool (and not highly traveled). -We do ask all visitors in our check-in instructions to give us an idea of arrival time, as we are not in the home at all times and need to know a rough time to be on the lookout for arrivals, and, do sometimes have more than one visitor checking in at one time.  I'd be curious to hear more about the doorbell, as, it does always take us off guard when we're listening for a honk, but we don't remember you ever coming to our door?  Did you come to our door after you had already checked in for some reason? -Cell service is spotty off the highway, and nothing in our description indicates that you will have cell coverage.   -We had a wonderful walk to the beach with another family with kids! My child loves visitors who attempt to interact.-We did inform you that the large, new, pop-up tailgating grill that you bought may not be the best idea at the camp area if you were going to cook meat etc, as we have bear and such around.  You said you "knew nothing about camping" so we did try to make sure you had some basic safety recommendations. -Our listing clearly indicates that all camp-related activities are to take place at the campsite, which, is clearly indicated to be a 5 minute walk away from the (shared) parking area!  Propane stoves ARE fine... at your camp area, and bbq grills are not the same as camp stoves.-The photos of the play area say "you are welcome to use" on the site listing.  I'm not really sure how to respond to that.  If you were unclear, did you ask? -Ultimately, for the price, it's a private, quiet place to put up a tent or hammock, that's the idea!
