This is such a cool place! Very cozy cabin, sleeping cots we’re comfortable, wood stove to keep us warm in November, table for card games, and cattle that stroll by to say hi! The nighttime air is filled with coyote howls and owl hoots. We would definitely visit here again! ** Also, the beef jerky and summer sausage was awesome, thank you!!
Amazing piece of paradise
My daughter and I absolutely loved this property. The outdoor cooking pit was excellent to cook the amazing sirloin steak we purchased from Brent’s ranch. The best I’ve had.
We loved the love, thought and consideration put into his property for his livestock. An incredible diverse timberland surrounds a very basic and very comfortable bunkhouse. The indoor fireplace kept us plenty cozy when it got chilly. There is a generator for lights and charging but we never used it.
Sleeping under the stars, waking to cows moving through was delightful. Sleeping in the bunkhouse on chilly nights was fun and comfortable. The outhouse was not smelly, dirty, gross or anything close.
Our tw well behaved dogs absolutely loved being off leash and were intrigued by the cows. The land is pretty uneven, and we worried a little about our fetch dog maybe eating it, but he didn’t.
We hope to return to this peaceful beautiful space again.
Thanks so much to the amazing folks that share this paradise.

Kids dogs and cows
Absolutely perfect for our family of kids and dogs both were off leash lol roaming the property
Cows made for great entertainment
Brent has black Angus beef on hand for dinner and smoked beef for snack time
We found our home away from home
Worst part was having to leave
A beautiful rustic spot with a gorgeous view. And cows! The cows were really cute and added to the experience. We had a wonderful time. The bunkhouse is so secluded, it was the perfect spot to get away for a night with friends.
A perfect place to unwind
The only thing I have to complain about is that the cows won't let you pet them. Other than that this is a perfect little cabin in the woods. Great views from the porch and the campfire. The cots were surprisingly comfortable and there's a generator if you need to turn the lights on at night or charge your phone (I had fully service at the cabin). Very peaceful, quiet and completely relaxing. I hope to go back soon!
Camping with cows!
This was a great property to stay at. Off the beaten path on a working cattle ranch. When we went there were a bunch of baby cows, they were so cute, but not so cuddly. The sunset was amazing and the bunkhouse was as described. Would stay again.
Loved going up here to escape some rainy camping I had planned. Inside is warm with a wood burning stove and outside has a nice fire pit too. Remember there isn’t water/shower/cooking stuff so gotta bring it all. There is a generator for electricity but we ended up not using it. Very private and lovely space. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful!
The Flying F Bunkhouse is a hidden gem! My partner and I were looking to get some much-needed time off the grid and celebrate our 6-year anniversary and we got that and more! Brent met us at his ranch and lead us to the bunkhouse (stopping on the way to feed the cows which was fun)! It was perfectly clean and ready for us with a full tank of gas in the generator. It was awesome to have the option to charge our phones if needed, but we mostly enjoyed the space without electricity. This was super easy to do since there is a fire pit and a wood stove inside!!
The property is so peaceful with a beautiful view, lots of space to take walks and explore, and the cutest birdhouse with a tiny bird family! We also loved the option to get some farm-fresh eggs and steak to cook over the fire. We also took a day trip to a nearby winery as well (just a ten-minute drive)! Couldn't rate this space higher -- we will absolutely be returning!!
Pro-tip: prop the outhouse door open for the best bathroom view you've ever had!
Bachelor party at the flying f
Picked this place out for a bachelor party for our friend. The cabin is set on the edge of a clearing and near the top of a hill. The views of the sunset are excellent and best enjoyed around the fire pit. We cooked burgers, hot dogs, and sausage links over the fire using the grill which worked great. the cabin is nice fit and finish, there is a table and cots available. Cows add a nice touch as you drive through pastures to get to the bunkhouse. There is a nature preserve just down the road which offers a 3 mile loop through wetlands and central Willamette valley rolling hills and oak groves. Great location to get away.
