Peaceful and perfect getaway
It was a beautiful scene. From thousands of stars at night to the sound of gentle breeze through the pines, our stay was peaceful and very enjoyable. There were acres to roam, walk and explore. The host checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. He even brought us raspberries! We ended up staying an extra night.
The natural beauty of the place is amazing. It was an hour from Pendleton and an hour to Walla Walla wine country. It is a short drive to the gorgeous lakes and not to forget the blue mountains. The trails around were for all skill levels.
The hidden oasis of east oregon
(Joke; Keep this place a secret! 🤪)
What is not to love about a beautiful ranch with in incredible views, a stunning landscape, and a more than gracious host. It’s a photographers dream day and night, and a sky full of stars! There are multiple ponds throughout the property to explore, and the frogs along their banks make awesome little noises as they jump to avoid your path. The lower pond was ripe with Large Mouth Bass fishing in the evening!
This place had so much more than we anticipated, and if we had any authority to vote for top HipCamps in the state we would… I would imagine it could easily be top 10.
We had such a good stay. We got stuck in Oregon on our way to Washington for a vacation and ended up booking last minute. The property is beautiful, the hosts are very helpful, and they have the best fresh raspberries and the cutest dogs.
My first hipcamp was awesome!
The Terry Ranch campsites are nestled around spring-fed ponds above the ranch house in a stand of Ponderosas. They are private and quiet but have a stunning view of the hills and ranches near by. Plus, Aimee has killer raspberries.
Beautiful quiet site
We greatly enjoyed our stay with Rod and Aimme. The location is beautiful with expansive views over the property. Very quiet with good bird watching in the mix. Aimme sent us some raspberries which made for a lovely surprise (many thanks!). I believe the site has great potential and as more people visit it will develop rapidly.
