We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at induvial camp sites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane fired shower.  The camp area is tucked away amongst large Spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area.

We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids.  The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago.  Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood.  BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast.  Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable.  To check out more local information, consult oregonsadventurecoast .com

About your stay: We're really more of a destination than a quick late-night stop over.  When arriving late in the dark, it can be a bit tricky to get here.  It's best to make it in during the day if possible, which allows you to take your time and enjoy the space.  If you are planning on arriving late in the evening, please take time to review the arrival instructions and be aware there is a gate that protects the property at night.

Small fires are allowed only at designated fire ring areas that are marked by circles of rocks or the group fire pit, when a property-wide burn ban is not in effect.  It is a good idea to have a fire extinguisher with you.

There are hiking trails all over the property.  Go ahead and take a journey on one of of the trails or on the golf course in the evening as golfers are done.

We loved this experience! Great fire pit for cooking, plenty of space, even a covered prep area. Nice and close to the state parks. Tim was an excellent host and we had a great time. Will definitely be back!

It was the perfect amount of rustic… Not crowded, quiet, cute outdoor shower and woodfired sauna, and yet close to everything. Relatively easy to find, yet tucked away from all the buzz Of a busy campground.

We took a wrong turn at first and landed in the State Park campground which was filled to capacity. Then we took the right road through the golf course and a steep dirt road to the calm peace and quiet of a meadow surrounded by huge trees. We didn't use the sauna or their water as we were there just a night. There were 3 other campers but we really didn't see them. It was a lovely night, quiet, dark and rejuvenating. Took a nice walk up the hill with our dogs.

The tree surrounded meadow.

Great to have you at the camp area and look forward to seeing you again soon! As a quick clarification the road is a nicely maintained gravel road that is consistently graded and rock is added whenever necessary. Generally people don't have any trouble with the road unless they are towing a trailer without appropriate weight distribution & two wheel drive. In that case accommodations can be made to escort someone through a lower golf course road rout that does not have hills.

A great place tucked away in the woods and open space. Way better than camp ground where campers are stacked on each other. And close to the ocean and the he golf course is nice too.

Such a beautiful spot to discover along our coastal road trip. The adjacent golf course was fun to explore and play on, plus our pup had a blast running around it. Tim made accessing water and firewood easy, and it was nice to also have access to the sauna and outdoor shower. The bay is close by and one of the coolest spots on the coast. We will 100% be back!

This was awesome! Super private and lush. Had porta potties, shower, sauna and fire rings. Best porta potties I ever used. But still close to Charleston and Coos bay. Sunset beach just across the way for sunsets and great breakfast picnic spot. Will definitely stay again!

Quiet and Great camping area! Plenty of space to find a secluded place to park our 22 foot travel trailer! Tim was responsive when we had questions about directions before we arrived.

What an amazing location. We've driving the 101 so many times. We've never pulled off and explored around Charleston and the Sunset Beach area. Tim's meadow was the perfect location to see all that this amazing part of the Oregon Coast has to offer. Don't miss this opportunity. Good road even for our 30 foot trailer - many parking area's but each far enough apart to keep that private feeling. Really nice people who let us fill our fresh water tank and offered shower and sauna.
