We have added a portable toilet,  picnic table, a couple chairs, propane fire pit and a fire pit.   We also, due to requests from our guests :) , expanded the open space on the lake.  It left a temporary, small, bare dirt area.  You will be our only guests, so you have full use of 800 feet of lake front, camp anywhere. There are several creeks and a roughed in walking path to 1 creek.  Please ask us for property perimeter approximates if you want to hike. The other creeks are “make your own experience” hiking.  You are welcome to pick the wild fruits, mushrooms and herbs.

You are welcome to park and camp anywhere within 500 feet of the lake path.

The view and water access was perfect. Private, quiet and 10 minutes from Florence.

Pluses:
-- Right on a huge lake with relatively easy water access (a little challenging to lower the canoe down to the water -- no steps)
--15 minute drive to the ocean
-- Mostly quiet at night except for dogs barking most hours of the night and some noisy neighbors, but really overall great.
-- The fire pit area and picnic table area were nice touches.
-- The host, Janellen, was quick to respond, friendly, and had excellent details for getting to the campspot.
-- Decent hammock trees

Minuses:
-- The space needs some improvement. It seemed a recently dug out route to the lake front. The plants were bushwacked but many small stumps (tripping hazards) were sticking up randomly.
-- It was not ideal for tent camping as there were not any good flat spots that were not in the middle of the giant dust pit that dominated the bulk of the site. I would not recommend small children or energetic dogs unless you are ok with a lot of dust.

Overall, I would stay here again if I brought adequate giant rugs to put down over the dust for a tent space or if I had a small RV and if the cost was a little less.

Lakefront was beautiful!! Very secluded and quiet. Janellen was super friendly and there was even a kayak on the property for us to borrow.

Be aware that in order to get to the site, there is quite a long stretch of winding a little bumpy undeveloped road. We were pulling a 16 ft trailer and was able to make it slowly to the site. Janellen was kind to lead the way in her truck and wait for us as we made our way!

Great rustic camping spot by the lake, very quiet and secluded. Bring a tarp for your tent, and a fishing rod for the fish in the lake.

S'mores by the fire.Siltcoos Cove LakefrontLake in the morning, sitting on a lovely wooden chair.

We loved just creating our own tent sites. We had six (6) tents. The dogs loved it. We had seven (7) dogs. As a matter of fact my dog is down a little bit having to return to the city. The separate camp fire site is amazing. Then there’s the beautiful lake. We kept our kayaks ready in the lake. We loved it.
