Wild and beautiful
Our Host, Sandy, was so friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The place is absolutely beautiful and it is about as secluded as you could ever hope for. Our tent site was right next to the little creek that runs through the valley. Sandy’s property is right at the bottom of a huge valley and the giant juniper trees and sage brush release an awesome scent through the whole place. This is not a KOA by any means so if you’re looking for a glamping spot, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a secluded, quiet place to detach from the world, this is the one. Sandy is well set up but it really is the middle of nowhere so be prepared for “roughing it”. There’s a small store nearby but they don’t have much. We saw deer, livestock, antelope, and even big horn sheep! The stars are unobstructed by any city lights whatsoever so they’re brighter than you’ve ever seen. The worst part about this place is that we could only stay for 1 night. We will definitely be back through soon to stay for longer so we can see Sandy and her gorgeous slice of heaven again! 10/10 would recommend for adventurers.
Old west at it's best!
Sandy is a super friendly, helpful host! Loved the authentic, rustic feel of the Ranch with it's old west vibe! Our stay included stargazing, with zero light pollution! Quiet and uncrowded, very nice spot to get away from civilization!
My new “most amazing place”!!
Wonderful!! We came seeking relaxing peace, tranquility, wildlife and all the stars in existence- we got that tenfold!
By night we were lulled by frogs, owls and the creek. By day, we shared space with deer, geese and ducks, many birds, pronghorn and even a fox! We also got to help out on the farm side a bit and learned a LOT. This place is heaven- if there were Hipcamp awards, Sandy T. gets my nomination. She is unbelievable and is like family to us now!
