Our Private Land is located along the Oregon Coast in Newport. Daily you can hear the ocean roar and smell the fresh air off the water. It is a forest area accessible by trails that all link together. There is also a very nice trail off our land to a nearby city trail that will lead you to Agate Beach. You will see coastal evergreens and deciduous trees with all sorts of other bushes and flowers that you typically find along the Oregon Coast. Some of the wildlife on the land such as Blacktail Deer and many species of birds are seen and heard on most days. Enjoy the beauty, but please do not approach or feed wildlife. You will see breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Yaquina Bay Bridge, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and Big Creek Reservoir. These landmarks can be seen randomly throughout your walk on the trails and from the campsites. There are beautiful sunsets and sunrises. On a clear night you can see the constellations, undisturbed by city lights. Please note this site does not have grass (yet). This is our newest site and we plan to plant grass in the fall.

Mike & Tonia are amazing hosts and have a very special piece of property. The views are spectacular and sites are quite large. Hosts are very accommodating and excited to share their property with campers. 20/10 would stay again and recommend to others.

We feel extremely lucky that Mike and Tonia share their property with us. This is the third spot we’ve stayed at and in our opinion is the best. View of the ocean is amazing, and privacy is unrivaled. Can’t wait to return!

We loved our visit to Mike's site! The view is beautiful, the site is spacious, private and quiet. I've never used a cleaner port-a-potty. There were lots of thoughtful extras like firewood and hot water, and we enjoyed chatting with Mike. Will definitely be back!!

Site was awesome. It will even be better once the grass comes in. It was nice having hot water and our own toilet. We really liked how we felt alone. The fire pit was fantastic with great benches.

The owners were awesome and very helpful. Highly recommend the place.

Couldn't ask for a nicer host or lovelier campsite!

I truly enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful view, and privacy, during my two-night retreat from city life. Mike was a fantastic host who was attentive, personable, and available but never intrusive, and Tonia was so awesome with communication and helping me feel welcome and reassured that my stay would be great (and that my reliable but not-so-powerful little sedan would make it up the hill, which it totally did - go Aveo!). I also felt very safe here as a solo camper.

This particular site offers a nice balance of sunshine and shade, and has an ocean view I could hardly believe! Having my own porta-potty was a really nice privacy upgrade and the hand-washing station was great. My campsite was also very clean - no sign of other campers, etc. The wooded trail to the Agate beach area is almost right at the property line and it was easy to hike down to the beach. At my campsite I got some pretty close-up views of turkey vultures and some other birds, and loved hearing owls at night! Thank you so much Mike & Tonia for sharing your beautiful land.

I definitely hope to visit again and I highly recommend this site and these hosts!!
