Off Grid Tenting Experience

We have 3 cleared tent sites with 2 flattened areas for tents, per site. There is a shared outdoor kitchen, composting toilet and shower near the school bus. The outdoor kitchen is just that, outdoor, so expect dust, bugs and all the joys that come with cooking outside. We do not have a fridge and cannot accept garbage (pack in pack out). We have lots of wildlife and we have yet to find a solution to keeping the critters safely away and have those things.
A little bit about the property:
We bought this land about 6 years ago and it was clear cut about 12 years before our purchase. Our main goal is to rehab this property to bring it to its former glory. It was an overgrown mess when we bought it and have done tons of work thanks to the campers and visitors who come to stay with us. Your visit helps us get closer and closer to our goal of creating a healthy forest, that we can share with others.
There are alot of quirks about staying with us. Our composting toilet is unique, it is situated outside 100% and has a urine Seperator on it to keep the smell at bay. Our outdoor shower runs on a battery powered pump and can offer a cool breeze in places you would rather not get a cool breeze :) The main area for camping was recently mulched of all the overgrown brush and that mulch is in the process of breaking down into great nutrients for the trees. The area is pretty open and privacy is not very easy to attain within your campsite unless you wander into the forest a bit. (If there are other campers on site). But there is a privacy fence around the shower and the toilet is off into the woods, where the trees provide lots of privacy. Summers can get hot, dusty and mosquitos do like to hang out, since the lake is only about 1/2 mile from our property.
But don't let any of this keep you away as it has beauty that you are not likely to find elsewhere. The birds have a large choir time in the morning and it is the most wonderful way to awake to and drink your coffee. There is a walking trail that leads up the north side of the property that opens up to a view of Lost Creek Lake. There are all the essentials you need to be comfortable but not too much that you forget to take in all the peacefulness and slow down a bit. Lost creek Lake is wonderful to swim in during the hottest parts of the month. The Rogue River is nearby and the put in is only about 2 miles from the property. If you do not have your own boat there are rentals in Shady Cove, about 11 miles south. It is a nice and easy float that you can see eagles, osprey and maybe even a river otter. Crater Lake is about 50 miles North of the property. Umpqua Hot springs is about an hour and a half away. We are also just an hour from Diamond Lake, Lemolo Lake, Mt Theilson, and tons of water falls. This area is brimming with beauty.

My friend and I loved staying at Keila's campsite! The outdoor shower and kitchen were wonderful and super easy to use. We would definitely stay here again.
I loved it! Especially the outside shower it reminded me of Hawaii vibe. Kitchen was perfect and the site was isolated for privacy. Thanks!
Wonderful campground with an amazing outdoor shower and kitchen!!! Would definitely go back and recommend to friends!
Keila was such a great hostess. She made us feel like we were at home and we had plenty of privacy on our own site, but also common spaces that were great for socializing. Fully stocked outdoor kitchen made cooking meals exceptionally easy. Highly recommend.
We had a great time camping here. Our campsite felt comfortable and private and the cute little outdoor kitchen with a fridge was very useful!
