Caveat: I haven’t stayed at an RV park before and had this not been last minute, probably would’ve opted for a state park instead.
Pros: cheap, coin-op hot showers and clean private bathroom, clean air (I was running away from toxic Bay Area smoke from wildfires), Marisa at the office who was friendly, hikes, check-in was easy.
Cons: racist graffiti inside porta-potty plus bullet shells plus strange looks = extreme feelings of unwelcome for POC, also kind of in the middle of nowhere, the porta-potty was gross but I just used their private bathroom instead, million mosquitoes from their pond, unlevel campsites made for uncomfortable sleep.
I was honestly a bit hesitant about staying at an RV Park but the experience was great! The hosts were very nice and thorough, and the camp sites are set back towards the end of the property so it feels quite private. There is a pond right across from the sites which is lovely but make sure you have something to keep the mosquitos away. All in all, a very pleasant spot to stay!
Spacious & tidy, well-maintained campground with nice little swimming hole. Instructions and driving directions were well-communicated beforehand. Another bathroom location, or more stalls, would be good (only one shower stall & one toilet stall per gender, located at entrance, that are quite a trek for tent, tepee & cabin campers.
the campsite was very nice and clean, though the walk to the bathroom and showers was long it was a good way to get some exercise in during the morning! overall a very good experience!
Tent space 6 is the best out of all. Very close to a pond that has rushing water near it. We were there for the 4th of July and it was not over the top. We really loved this place!
