Crystal Creek Cabin is located under large Cedar trees on our 80 acre property adjoining the Mt. Hood National Forest. Sit on the covered porch no matter the weather and enjoy the sounds and scenes of nature! This is the ideal place to come, unwind and just be. Inside the cabin is a wood stove for keeping warm during the cold months. There are 2 twin beds as well as a sleeping loft that can accommodate 2 sleepers on a Queen mattress. This is an off grid cabin...however we have a Honda generator that can be used for lights and electrical plug-ins or go without electricity and use the lantern and candles provided. There is also a fire ring and sitting area outside for campfires as well as a large pick-nick table. The cabin is constructed from local trees we've harvested using a sawmill as well as Redwood and Douglas Fir salvaged from an old water tower deconstructed locally on the mountain. This is the perfect rustic, quiet and private retreat for all seasons.
*Keep in mind there is a short uphill 5-10 minute walk to the cabin from where you'll park (pack accordingly). Please arrive during daylight hours or plan accordingly (headlamps or flashlights) if possible as the path to the cabin is sparsely lit.
No plumbing inside the cabin. A water cooler is provided for drinking water. We also have a water spigot outside but water is not drinkable.
When you make your booking please contact me to let me know if you intend to bring your dog. :) We have 2 very friendly retrievers. Usually 1-2 may come and say hello.
*Please only bring your dogs if they are comfortable around other animals and people.*

Rachel’s cabin exceeded our wildest expectations, it’s such a beautiful, magical hideaway with us - and perfectly located for hitting the slopes!
Great find! Good directions and fast communication with the host. Friendly dogs greeted us upon arrival and even led the way up the short incline to the cabin. The cabin was perfect- spotless, inviting, and full of charm. We had everything we needed (wood, matches, drinking water, cozy beds, and a composting toilet) and everything we didn’t (Wi-Fi, electricity, and television). 10/10 would recommend, 11/10 coming back again!
My dog was diagnosed with cancer, again. So I decided to take him on trips so he can enjoy his last months. He loves nature and hiking, however hiking for him is not an option.
Crystal Creek Cabin was a perfect place to stay and have my sweet boy enjoy nature. I absolutely love the place and so did my dogs.
The place is well set up and very clean. Also thanks so much to the host for allowing dogs to stay in the cabin.
I do recommend this place, so lovely.
Only thing I will say it was very hard to find the place at night. We couldn’t see anything. No numbers or any of the details that was mentioned in the written directions. A bit more light will very useful.

This place is just amazing. For a solo guy like myself, with three kids and a dog, this was a life saver during the holiday school break.

This was our first glamping experience. So many thoughtful details that made it easier for us: provided firewood, kindling and tea kettle for the stove were a delight. We opted not to use the generator and instead used the candles in the cabin when the sun went down. We never got too cold though it got near freezing thanks to the lovely quilts on the beds. The cabin keeps heat well. Trail in and out is well maintained with excellent directions. We felt secluded, yet an easy hour drive from PDX. We loved it here and are so grateful! Would like to visit in the warmer months to take advantage of the stream.

We had a great time at the cabin! It was the perfect getaway to unplug and get some r&r. The sound of the creek was so relaxing! We brought a camping stove and enjoyed eating on the porch taking in the lush scenery. We appreciated the thoughtful touches of candles, wood for the stove, books, and warm blankets. Would love to come back and visit during the summer and explore the trails on their beautiful property. Did I mention the cabin comes with friendly dog visits! My only critique, is we didn't know their dogs names on their collar :) Thanks for a great experience and look forward to visiting again soon!

The cabin was perfect in every way that we wanted…. Don’t be like me though and take up the host offer for help getting your stuff to the cabin. Carrying my loaded cooler to the cabin was not fun but other than that I couldn’t recommend more..

This is an amazing cabin. Extremely private location. Cabin is cozy and peaceful.
We are repeat guests and each visit has left us speechless and full of gratitude that we were able to enjoy this little slice of heaven. Honestly I don’t know what is more amazing-the cabin & its cozy porch, the beautiful & secluded land, or falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall in an incredibly comfortable bed! The first time we stayed for a couple of days and literally never left the property because it was so incredible.
The cabin is just as beautiful as the land it is tucked away on. It’s just a short hike up to the cabin-Rachel has always offered to help haul our stuff up but we never felt we needed it. Rachel really goes out of her way to create a cozy and welcoming environment and has the cabin stocked with everything one would need for staying off the grid. There is even a generator for the cabin but we never felt we needed it. The cabin is always spotless-as is the outhouse which has no smell! No shower but we swam in the nearby rivers and lakes during the summer months so we didn’t mind 😊
Classy off the grid camping at its finest! Cannot recommend this stay enough!
