Great place for staying the night. Hood River has so many options for recreation and enjoyment in the local activities. Hood River has some of the best wineries and breweries in the northwest. Second to none for nature adventures as well.

Decent spot near all the fun stuff. We were the only people staying until around 10pm when someone else showed up.

This is a great location, especially if you’re in town to ride the Post Canyon trails! Close enough to town, but still far enough away to have some quiet.
This is an open, dusty lot without a lot of shade except for spots 1 and 2, which showed up as booked on Hipcamp (they were unoccupied the whole time.
The area was completely free of trash, port-a-potty was recently serviced, and was a generally nice spot.
My only complaints were the lack of shaded spots and the dustiness of the area. That is on me, as it would be fine if you weren’t spending much time in camp.

No frills but just what I needed. This stop was an in/out overnight. It was easy to find and park. Quiet with a nice breeze. It feels like a parking lot though. A safe parking lot! People come in late and leave early. Just a few miles from Hood River
City center.

Great location, easy to find. Very basic but just what we needed. A little road noise in the morning but not bad. Access is good - easy to get into and out of.

As advertised, it's a spot to park a van or RV overnight near the Gorge.. 8 spots total in a lot next to a house. Easily booked online within the hour before we arrived. Port-a-potty was clean. I didn't interact with the host because there was no need to. We were there just a night. Place is in a nice, safe area.

Very windy, very small, very dusty and weedy little sites. Ground was so hard we could barely get stakes in and wind kept us up all night anyway. No charm at all except close to nice walk on country roads.

While this Hipcamp is a simple vacant lot with 8 numbered posts marking the sites and a single porta potty, the location of this camp is magical. I was in a quiet residential neighborhood, 3 miles by car from the vibrant downtown and beachside highlights of Hood River, Oregon. This is also 3 miles by a different bicycle-friendly route I took via residential streets to the same areas.

July is a windy month in Hood River, which is great for the windsurfers and kiteboarders in the Columbia River gorge, and for those of us who love to be spectators to those dedicated thrill-seekers. This site does not have much protection from the winds. RVs will not notice this, but tenters like me need to be prepared with good tent stakes and guy-lines.

Michael lives in the house next door, and was available, friendly and accommodating during my 3-night stay. This is the best place to enjoy easy access to the best features of the Columbia River and surrounding areas.

Michael was very laid-back and accommodating. The sites are in his backyard just on a dirt/grass lot, but very well laid out, marked, and maintained. You won't give anywhere closer to downtown Hood River! Quiet at night, as it's in a neighborhood. Not much shade unless you're in site 2 or the one across from it, so great for solar.

AT&T service was great, Verizon was kind of spotty due to switching between towers, but it's like that all over this area.
