Awesome campsite next to the beach!
We had a great time at Maria’s campsite. It was a little tight getting in with our 24’ bunkhouse totaling 29’ bumper to hitch but with a little jockeying we settled in perfectly. My family and I checked out the Newport aquarium, toured the local disc golf tracks and ate amazing fresh fish and chips from the few local towns nearby. After a day of adventure we took the token walk on the beach witch was gorgeous and sandy. We loved our time at Yachats Ocean Escape and we’ll be back to spend more time on the beach!!! Thanks Maria!
A great spot on the oregon coast!
When we first arrived I was a little disappointed as the property is a small wooded lot surrounded by vacation homes. I felt a bit like we were in a fishbowl. We set up camp to create a visual block and quickly realized how nice the spot actually is. It may be a bit busy in the high season but during this week at the end of April we only had friendly neighbors vacationing quietly in one home nearby. The property is full of trees creating privacy and is only separated from the beach by a single row of homes with peaks of the waves between and several very short trails to the beach...only 70 ft away! There is plenty of space for up to 3 trailers, we set up two tents. The neighborhood was Quiet and the sound of the ocean was so relaxing. There are very few places to camp on the coast with so much seclusion. The beach is the best I’ve ever walked on and because there are no public access points nearby we had it to ourselves for the most part. There are several electrical options on site and a very clean Porta potty. Unfortunately, the water line was broken during our stay but Maria let us know this when we booked and gave us a discounted rate. Yachats and Waldport are close enough with everything the Central Oregon coast has to offer nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and will return again.
What a beautiful getaway! We ended up getting in a day later than planned but Maria was still available and accommodating! We were a bit surprised at where the campsite was located. The pictures made it seem like we were right on the beach, or at least in more of a secluded area. The path to the ocean was a hop skip and a jump away, which made for a lovely afternoon stroll on the beach. Afterwards we setup our chairs to watch the sunset. Just breathtaking! The sound of the ocean lulled us right to sleep.
Great location one lot back from the beach. Had a great trip to Yachats, water wasn’t really working but Maria worked well with us, sounds like she’s in the process of getting it fixed. All in all it’s a good spot to park a small trailer or tent camp if you’re wanting to be at the beach. We’ll definitely be looking into going back at some point.
