This was the perfect pit stop for me. The host was extremely accommodating and super sweet to me. The property itself was cute, clean with both communal areas and spots where you can feel tucked away.
Our stay at Kristen’s was lovely! She and her husband were super kind and took us in last minute. The outdoor shower was amazing and there was plenty clean drinkable water. Highly recommend!
We had a great time here! Everything was clean and Kristen communicated well. There were others around but it was not too loud or busy. The only thing I’d say is that the hot water didn’t last that long. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!
Perfect quick stop!
Kristen’s place is a perfect stop for people passing through. The description does not do it justice at all! While it is close to the road (so close that we passed by the entrance…twice!), there is a nice barrier of trees so you cannot see any of the cars driving by. The area itself is beautiful, lush, and has all the amenities you could need! We were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating this camping spot was, especially because of the “quick stop” description. There’s a lovely outdoor shower, fire pits, an indoor bathroom, hammocks, etc. upon arriving, Kristen was there to greet us and show us around. Kristen, you are an absolute doll! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. We absolutely adored your lovely slice of heaven, thank you for sharing it with us! The complimentary coffee & biscotti was a great way to start the day and a nice send off. We WILL be back every time we pass through the area & we can’t wait!
Lovely hosts :)
Kristen and her husband were so welcoming and helpful during our stay. Prior to our trip, my bf and I were not aware that it would be raining the day we booked since we scheduled our stay a month in advance. Kristen reached out to me to let us know of the weather that was to come and would keep us updated to confirm if we still wanted to camp at their site, which was beyond my expectation of any host. On the day we arrived, her husband showed us around the site and even helped us trim some branches that were weighing down the tarp we tied up in anticipation of any rain. The morning of, we were greeted by Kristen from a distance who informed us that there was coffee and water by the outdoor patio lounge area for our use. Hand sanitizers were available at the hand washing station in addition to the soap and paper towels. Our stay was overall great since we didn't get as much rain we feared. As a side note, do expect a lot of bug friends on tents and wet places as they tend to try to say hello to stay dry.
This was my first hipcamp experience and I enjoyed it. I’m usually much more of a very secluded, only nature noises during camping type, but the hosts were so kind I can’t complain about the nearby road. The site was conveniently located, we went both to a safari park and to an awesome hike recommended by the hosts. They also have a dirt bike track, goats and horses for neighbors, offer coffee/juice/biscottis, and my kid (4 yrs old) loved it! She was so impressed by how helpful the hosts were 😊
Kristen and her family have set up a great space. It seems like they’ve thought of all the creature comforts and they went out of their way to make us have a great stay! I would definitely recommend the spot with the only caveat being that it was closer to the road than I expected. Still, it was a fabulous stay and I would definitely return. Thank you, Kristen!
