Gateway to the Umpqua National Forest.  We are 10 minutes off I-5 and 15 minutes from the first waterfall in the forest.  You will find tons of hiking, waterfalls, fishing, rafting... even the Wildlife Safari (drive-through zoo) and tons of other recreation.  Love the warmth and sound of a crackling fire? Pour a drink, or brew a pot of coffee and relax next to your own private bonfire pit. While you’re walking your dog (or yourself) you’ll find tons of fresh fruit and berries growing all over. Help yourself and take some with you when you head home.  We also have a fully furnished tent cabin equipped with a full sized bed, over-sized chair, mini fridge and microwave. It is available for an additional charge, just look for our Tent Cabin listing.  Since we ARE located along the N Umpqua Hwy, you will hear road noise.  Logging trucks do run up and down our small highway, because we are just outside of the Umpqua National Forest.  **NO CHECK IN AFTER 8PM**  Late arrivals are extremely disturbing to the guests that are already checked in and relaxing, or already in bed.  And this has been our top complaint, so PLEASE contact me right away if you are not going to arrive before 8pm!  We can arrange for your late arrival, as the gate will be closed at 8:00.

Description of property was accurate. This is not always the case and reviews are important to verify property descriptions. We have ran into trouble with this at Hipcamps. These hosts also added a number of extra amenities which improved the camping experience. They were also very invested in doing anything they could to add to our enjoyment. Great hosts! We would definitely stay there again.

Owners were awesome. We booked our first stay on Hipcamp (and day of) here and it went really smoothly. Property has plenty of space and nice big trees. We shared the camp with another family and our kids became buds and had a good time running free in all the open space. The property has lots of trees and shade but it is still very easy to supervise kids that are off in the distance. If your kids/dogs are old enough to listen and have a little common sense they will enjoy it here after a car ride. It’s mostly fenced and really well bordered so it makes things easy. There were a few good blackberry patches that were ripe and the owners don’t mind people picking them because there are so many. The only down side would be the car noise but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Didn’t notice it much and it died down a lot at night. Nice frog and cricket sounds at night.

Everything is very clean and the owners are very helpful and welcoming. Good people.

I regret not bringing disc golf discs and my dog.

It was great staying at Kristen's. They were welcoming and very good hosts despite our debacle getting late and firewood issue!

Kristen was unbelievably understanding of me needing to cancel on the day I was due to arrive as Oregon had been hit with record shattering high temps (it was 104⁰ at her place and in the 90's at night)! I had my American Bulldog with me and she would not have done well in that environment.
Kristen kindly gave me a rain check for another time.
I eagerly anticipate being able to visit in the future with a friend or two in tow as Kristen had some great suggestions for local lakes to SUP!

It's a great site! They've set up tables and chairs for each group along with fire pits and a clean shower and toilet. The owners are very friendly and even had a coffee bar in the morning.
