Peaceful camp for Two!
Excellent camping space
Joy was a wonderful host. Very communicative and helpful with local suggestions.
Her space was serene and safe, right on the river. I felt so grateful to have come across this gem in port orford.

Peaceful camp for Two!
The best thing about this place was the solitude. We were the only campers for two nights. There was some walking paths and river access, but much of the property is overgrown with deep grass, gorse, and blackberries. We enjoyed plentiful ripe blackberries. Apparently only two sites are available. Facilities are bare bones: there is no water, electricity, or power hookup, no sewage or dump site, and no toilets. There is an electrical panel for one of the sites, and I was able to charge my computer there. Internet access was available for free outside the host's residence. There was no phone coverage. A couple of neighbors' dogs wandered through the property, which is poorly fenced. The host, Joy, was pleasant and helpful and an interesting conversationalist. She is obviously trying to improve the property which she hasn't owned very long, but has a long way to go. We felt $58/night fee was excessive, having stayed previously at another Hipcamp which was better maintained and aesthetically more pleasing for $35/night.

Willow Getaway for Two
We had a lovely time. Quiet location, very close to the river. Cape Blanco is quite near.

Peaceful camp for Two!
Just right for this nite
Super quiet and just what we needed after 4 nites of noisy state campgrounds. Our own private camp site a short walk to a couple nice swimming hole on the Elk River. We were treated to a large Elk heard on the other side of the river, grazing and trumpeting they’re way through a large cattle pasture.. When we woke up the next morning a multitude of song birds greeted us with a morning serenade.. The site we stayed in was a bit unfinished, only power and no water close enough to tap into. So come self contained or prepared. I believe it was site 2. We would definitely stay there again!!
Thanks Joy!!!
