This campsite, hosted by Elizabeth and Tom, offers a charming blend of rustic farm life and natural beauty. Guests enjoy close encounters with friendly animals like horses, cats, and chickens, adding a unique touch to their stay. The location is praised for its easy access to the highway, cleanliness, and peaceful ambiance, making it a great stopover for travelers. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention the weather conditions, but the hosts are always accommodating, ensuring a comfortable stay regardless of the elements.
Elizabeth's place was exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed for a one night stop-over on our way out I-84. Very convenient to the highway and Elizabeth allowed us a potable freshwater tank fill.
The tent space was everything I needed for my short trip and I loved being around all the animals! I got to see horses and a pig! And the cats and chickens came right up to say hi while I ate breakfast.
We loved the land proximity to Pendleton, my sister and I went to the Round Up last minute, and this was a great option, as opposed to the below average hotels that were charging $600 a night! Elizabeth was a friendly & gracious host.
I had a wonderful time staying here for a quick visit during the Round Up. They have an easy to access location. it is maybe 5 minutes out of town. I was welcomed upon arrival and the host showed me the accommodations. Everything was as expected. It was an atypical rainy evening but they were able to set up tent for me in a dry area under two sided machine shed/barn; I really appreciate having a dry tent to use out of the rain. It was able to leave quietly the next morning. It looks like a very good location for someone with a horse.
Elizabeth and Tom's place was just far out enough from town to really feel like we were in the country, but still a convenient drive back to shops, restaurants and attractions. They had five acres which backed up to tribal land replanted with native grasses, and I took advantage of the invitation to walk far out there, which was beautiful. The "shack" was cute and cozy, and with the sleeping mats we brought it was comfortable. The window openings only had screening on them, but we liked the fresh air. We really enjoyed all the animals as well -- horses, a pig, cats and many chickens.
My friend and I loved camping here for the night! Tom was so welcoming and gave us a nice tour and helped us out when needed. Such a cute and peaceful place to enjoy an evening. They have a cowboy shower where you can cool off with refreshing cold water and the porta-potty is super clean! We’re going to miss Jasmine the cat!
The tent site was very convenient and kept us from the wind. The porta-potty was well located. The host was sweet and worked well with us and our kids!
Elizabeth and Tom were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The spot felt very private and outdoor shower was a nice amenity after camping for so many days. The sunset and stars were great as well as the very welcoming kitty Jasmine. Would definitely stay again
Nice place to spend the evening! Especially loved the nice shady area for our tent, the black and white cat, and an amazing sunrise view. Elizabeth was friendly and communicative :)
Elizabeth and Tom went above and beyond for my stay. They let me pitch up under a barn to escape the heat and provided me with a (much needed) coyboy shower that was tucked into their cute little garden. Beautiful property, with lots of friendly animals. I’ll be back!
Elizabeth and her husband were so friendly and the animals were so cute! It was a great place to stop for the night while we were traveling on the road :) would definitely recommend to others looking for a peaceful place to rest!
The hosts were amazing, very kind, and they gave us a tour of their farm. The farm animals were extremely friendly, we were able to pet horses, chickens, and a few cats.
Cold outdoor shower was refreshing in the heat, had am extremely clean portapotty for an outdoor bathroom and a spacious area to camp in.
This is a beautiful place to camp! Elizabeth's little ranch is cute and rustic, the animals are fun and personable, the camp spot is quiet, private, with lovely views of open space, and the outhouse very clean! Elizabeth was communicative and introduced me to the spot, and I had everything I needed for a very comfortable night of camping. The town of Pendleton also seems very nice with lots of amenities!
We always stop at Elizabeth's place when we go to Pendleton. She is a wonderful host, the girls like the animals on the farm and the place is calm and with a great view.
Easy to find. We pulled right in and caught a stunning sunset. The hosts were friendly and happy to welcome us. Perfect spot for our van to park for the night along with a clean portable toilet. It was cold but beautiful and an easy stop over as we passed through Pendleton.
The horses were friendly and our dogs enjoyed romping through the fields for their morning walk. We’ll be back next time we stop in Pendleton, for sure.
Elizabeth was communicative and helpful with welcoming us. We stayed for a brief time as we were driving through the area. We would recommend this stay! Clean and comfortable.
Nice spot to park for the night. Elizabeth meet me with a warm jug of water for washing. So sweet since it was cold outside. I got to watch the most amazing moon set in the morning.
I stopped at Elizabeth’s for the night with my horse and horse trailer on the way through Oregon. She had an easy place for me to park my trailer, a corral for my horse, and she was close to town so I could run in for any restocking needs. Perfect place to overnight on a long haul!
It was beautiful. We didn’t end up staying the night but we walked around and saw the horses and roosters. It was super hot so we decided to drive further towards our destination.
We had a lovely time here! The animals are adorable and very friendly. The hosts are just as welcoming and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Loved our stay here, it was quiet and peaceful, a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights!
The best things about this spot: the hostess was great and introduced me to all of the animals including her pig. The place was rustic and right up my alley. The porta potty was spotless. But best of all I got both a good night and good morning cuddle from a very sweet and friendly tuxedo kitty
This was a wonderful stop-over point for us on our way across the state. Elizabeth was incredibly generous with our toddler and spent a lot of time showing him the animals on her farm. It was beautiful and peaceful.
Camping at Horsefeathers Ranch was great! Lots of beautiful sky and stars to gaze and good privacy. Elizabeth was really helpful and responsive. She warned me of an oncoming heatwave and offered me a full refund if I decided to cancel. I camped anyway and it was great!
