Holistic Life Farm offers a quaint hideaway cabin nestled amongst the trees on your way to Astoria and the coast. Find us about 30 minutes off I-5 across the Longview bridge, 45 minutes east of Astoria and 4 miles off Highway 30 to the north.  We are a working homestead and delight in sharing our experience and offer visits with our sheep, goats, cows and chickens.

The cabin overlooks the beautiful coastal range and nearby forest off the deck. Open the front wall and enjoy the breeze from the west during your stay. Our refurbished compost outhouse is just a short walk across the pasture.

There is no electricity or running water so make sure to include lanterns and water along with your camp gear. There is water for rinsing dishes and washing hands. No picnic table at this time.  You will find 2 camp chairs, small (real small) folding camp table, and our free standing propane fire pit create a relaxing experience.  Bring bedding, lots of blankets and/or sleeping bags to keep warm at night during the winter months. We like to call this “dry camp glamping”.

We offer a garden cart to transport your gear out to the cabin.  The cabin sits about 1/8th mile from your car/truck across our west pasture.

**Goat's milk, goat's milk cheese and farm fresh eggs for sale to campers. We are happy to provide price and availability if you are interested.

**Ask about WiFi access in case you need to work remotely during your stay. We can set you up in the barn with advance notice. We are happy to provide price per day to accommodate you while you are here.

Hiking and mountain bike trails just up from our farm.  Beaver Creek Falls is around 1.5 miles from here.  A boat launch at Beaver Boat Ramp in the town of Clatskanie, with access to Columbia River.  Great calm launch ramp to Clatskanie River from City Park for kayaking. A Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away (closed to public during Covid-19), and Long Beach, WA across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.

This was a wonderful, bucolic, and downright educational trip for me. The A-frame is a very clever design and relaxing to spend time in to boot. Becky the farm manager was incredibly hospitable. Got to spend time with her chatting about the farm life while she milked goats. Learned that chickens can be bloodthirsty carnivores if left to their own devices (not from my experience at the farm, just a bit of knowledge imparted to me by way of Becky). Got to help Becky and Kim (one of the owners of the farm) try and get a two-day old lamb to bottle feed. All in all incredibly rejuvenating socially and spiritually and I wasn't even there for a full 24 hours.

You crack me up!! It was great to embrace your enthusiasm for our lifestyle. We named the twins Daffodil and Tulip (now a bottle baby). Their mom's name is Daisy. We had another set of twins born a few days after your stay. Just another day in Paradise!! Take Care... Farmer Becky

This was an incredible stay, from start to finish! The cabin itself is comfortable and has this awesome wall that opens up to a small patio. The view of the trees and surrounding landscape makes you want to keep that open all the time.

My hosts were incredibly generous, and great about asking what level of interaction and involvement I preferred. I was happy to spend time with goats, sheep, and chickens; I helped make some cheese; and picked fresh berries. A small basket of fresh eggs appeared on my doorstep every morning.

What I loved the most was that I felt at home, walking around and exploring on my own at times, at others having profound conversations that will stick with me. I highly recommend a stay in the little cabin hideaway!

Farmer Becky and Farmer Paul are the best! My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and were delighted to find this gem of a farm/campsite. They have a true glamping experience here; a great place to sleep, clean restroom, cute shelter. No electricity or running water, so a real dry campsite. They have chickens, goats, pigs, sheep, cattle and cats. We were greeted in the morning with fresh eggs. Farmer Becky taught us to make goat cheese! More than we even hoped for. We will definitely be returning to this site.

I'm a little afraid to write this review because everyone will flock to this beautiful escape. :) What was meant to be a last minute camping trip turned out to be a wonderful and lovely experience with new friends (animal and human!)

The property is really more picturesque than the photos suggest as you can see the coast range from the porch of the little A frame cabin along with gorgeous sunsets. I felt very at peace here and got to spend time with the chickens and goats and baby goats. Becky left fresh eggs, tomatoes and goats milk for me in the mornings which made for lovely mornings. I can tell a lot of heart is put into this place and I am excited to return! The cabin was comfortable and nicely built and more than suitable for a few nights of "camping."

I am happy that you experienced a peaceful getaway here on our homestead. I know the baby goats loved getting cuddles. You were great about sharing the pasture with our cows. We look forward to seeing you again, Lindsay. Thanks

This was truly such an amazing experience and I’ve already booked a second stay next month! We were welcomed on arrival and used the cart to bring our stuff to the most adorable little a-frame cabin, there’s a short walk from the car to the site but not difficult at all and you see the animals on the way. Farmer Becky was so helpful and welcoming and showed us around. Opening and closing the a-frame was very simple and while we chose to sleep with it closed you could easily sleep with it open as well. We were able to watch Becky milk the goats and enjoyed giving the chickens some treats. Not too far outside of town if you need anything and close to some nice hikes and water. 10/10 would recommend especially if you’re looking to see a small farm operation or have a relaxing secluded trip.

It was a great couple of days for sure. I especially appreciated the help wrangling the goats during and after milking. We are delighted that you have booked a second visit in October. Farm life is the best!

My 7yr daughter and I had a fantastic time in the cabin for 2 nights. Farmer Becky was more than accommodating with my daughter's wishes to learn and interact with the goats, so lots of petting, feeding, an attempt at milking, etc. The cabin itself was cozy and worked great for the two of us - even with some rain we opened up the side wall and that served as a pretty good shelter for cooking and hanging out. We'll undoubtedly be back.

A perfect overnight getaway from the city - we couldn’t be more thrilled about our stay here. Farmer Paul, Farmer Kim and Farmer Becky were incredible hosts, balancing their warmth and hospitality with respect for our privacy and limited vacation time. The tiny A Frame cabin is a gem - the clear side opens all the way up to form an awning over the deck, and the outer bed can roll back to create a beautiful outdoor living space. We brought a table and propane stove to make dinner in the evening, after an afternoon partially spent with Farmer Becky and the small herd of miniature goats (!). At night the cabin was cozy and we were both so relieved to be in the A frame rather than a tent when the Pacific Northwest weather picked up with rain and wind. Had it been a dry night, mid summer perhaps, we would have slept with the awning open. Keep in mind that the cabin sits a few hundred feet across a pasture, so bring good boots if wet weather is in the forecast. A cart is on hand to ferry belongings to and from your car. Take advantage of both the animals and humans here - feed the chickens, cuddle the goats (the cows were non-fazed by our presence). Enjoy a conversation or two with Farmer Becky and Farmers Paul and Kim. They may offer you some fresh goat milk, bring you some newly laid eggs, or even invite you on a cool farm adventure. We can’t wait to go back.

Super precious little spot. Felt super private. Bathroom was kept up nicely, eggs and fresh vegetables were delivered to our front step, and the view was so calming. Recommend.
