Our 2 acre property is located in Bend, Oregon.  While we live near the country, the property is only 1 mile to a local convenience store and gas station and less than 3 miles to groceries and other supplies.

Our property is unique in that our only neighbors adjoining the campsites, are ~20 acres of property divided among two churches. That means you'll enjoy privacy, and quiet stays while here (except for any traffic you may hear).

Our home is residence to several families of deer, and rabbits. Other regulars include horned owls, bald and golden eagles, redtailed hawks, and the occasional coyote can be heard in the distance.

The campsites sit in a large, flat, grassy field with great western and northern views.  Perfect for looking at sunsets over the mountains or stargazing at night.

Being located on the East side of Bend, campers have a convenient drive to excellent fishing / hiking / boating at the Crooked River, Prineville Resevoir, and many others!

All campsites will have their own picnic tables, and a firepit. Firewood will be available onsite for purchase as well.

We are proud to be pet, and even horse friendly. If you're planning a horse packing trip to the mountains or trail ride, let us know when you book. We can work with you to accommodate your animals by providing a fenced area, and hay. Please note: we've only been Hipcamp hosts for a month and we absolutely love it. But we've realized that we are struggling to provide water/power to each of our sites simultaneously - especially the ones 100 yards from the source. In addition, because we travel so often ourselves, our travel trailer (and therefore onsite bathroom) are often unavailable. For those reasons, and rather than disappoint people, we decided to update our listing. We're now no longer offering power and water to each site, and we are no longer able to offer a bathroom on site. Instead, we are providing a single, central fresh water fill station. We would still gladly provide power temporarily to recharge batteries.

The Mini farm was a great place to stay while visiting Bend. It was close to town but felt out of town. Matthew and his family were wonderful hosts. Their ducks came over and welcomed us the first day. It was very nice that Matthew provided us a trash can during our stay which is the one thing you never want to take home after camping. Will definitely come back if we are staying in the area!

The grass field is fantastic. Add in the picnic table fire ring and trash receptacle and all is perfect
The ducks, chickens and horse were a great way for us to wind down and laugh at the many comical scenes that developed. Matthew and family gave plenty of room for us and I can’t see anyone having a great time at the mini farm

This was an awesome place. This was our first Hip Camp experience, and we were very impressed. We were the only campers, so we had the entire space to ourselves and two dogs. The area was spacious, on a large grassy area. Picnic table and hammock was set up for us which made for a very relaxing stay.

Matthew and his wife were great hosts-very friendly, and offered some great advice for eateries around town! They had a horse on the property as well as some chickens and ducks (which my daughter loved!). Very close to downtown Bend-but with a country-esq feel. A really great location for us.

Matthew's High Dessert Mini-Farm was a perfect stay for us! We were traveling to see family and after a long day of packing and driving it was nice to have a grassy spot for my dog to roll around in! The camping area was quite large with plenty of space for other campers!
Matthew was very accommodating and very helpful during our short stay! THANK YOU!

first hipcamp experience in the books & couldn’t have been better! matthew and his family were so welcoming and kind. they even shared their giant marshmallows and otter pops with us! haha. the property is well maintained, there’s water & electric and the views are beautiful. it’s a great little spot that’s close to town but doesn’t feel like it at all. will definitely stay with them again.
