Hagg Lake camping

Mark was very friendly, kind and accommodating! Great park like setting and literally 5 minutes from Hagg Lake event venue. Would definitely do it again. Slept wonderfully

Mark and his family were super sweet and hospitable! They loaned us a table and chairs, and we chatted a lot about chickens. His niece was visiting which was wonderful for my granddaughter to get someone closer to her own age to play with. They even invited her in for lunch! She got to learn how to catch and hold a chicken too! (And learned the importance of washing her hands really well afterwards.)

Pretty campsites but very close to a chicken farm and houses

We could not reach the host the first night cell phone service was super spotty, so we couldn’t find the spot (no address found on website) by the time we got a response it was to late. We asked for a refund . No refund. We did get an address the next day and found the campground. No running bathroom they had a bucket for a toilet, they dug a hole in the dirt for our fire. Overall we were pretty disappointed about not getting a refund and obviously he was not really ready for people to stay there. It was really close to the lake so at least we could spend our time at the lake. Still waiting for the refund for the first night that we did not stay due to spotty cell service

Camping at Mark’s place was great! It was very convenient to Hagg Lake. Mark and his family were super friendly and wanted to make our stay nice. For example, from where we were camping we had to walk just a bit to the bathhouse. While it wasn’t far, they made a shorter path while we were there to make it easier for the kids and us. They also brought us over wood for free. We stayed in the field campsite which had a beautiful view and open sky. The only downside at this site was it was on a slope but we did manage to find an area that wasn’t sloping as badly for the tents. You will need to bring everything you need - like a picnic blanket or a folding table but we didn’t have any problem with that. Just something to be aware of although I believe Mark has several items you can rent too like a grill and tents. And pretty soon they may even add some additional features like a picnic table. They are committed to making the stay as lovely as possible. We would highly recommend camping there. Also, our kids loved seeing the chickens. :)

The location is great. There are multiple areas to camp. We were in vans, camped on the front grass area. We only stayed the night and it was very nice. Bring your leveling blocks if you are going to sleep in your vehicle.

Such a nice family. I would definitely recommend this spot.
