Cherry tree site
This place was great! We stayed under the cherry tree. Just up the hill is the farmhouse but we weren't too bothered to be by having a house nearby. The site is on a slight hill but we found a couple spots that were flat enough for sleeping. The chicken sounds were quite amusing and we got many laughs out of trying to mimic them all day. They quiet down at night but start up early in the morning so take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. It was really nice to have a bathroom. It was very clean and well stocked. Cold water only. This location is just an hour from the coast and maybe 10 minutes to the lake.

Party poultry
Cherry tree camp site was on a pretty good grade. Very uncomfortable to tent camp because of the hill. Chickens and other poultry started crowing and making all kinds of noise starting at 1:30am and did not stop until we got out of our tent at 7am. Large farm equipment was started up around 7am and run loudly around the camp site. Would not recommend to an enemy.

Lovely place - lovely family
Mark and his family were super sweet and hospitable! They loaned us a table and chairs, and we chatted a lot about chickens. His niece was visiting which was wonderful for my granddaughter to get someone closer to her own age to play with. They even invited her in for lunch! She got to learn how to catch and hold a chicken too! (And learned the importance of washing her hands really well afterwards.)
