A private winding path leading to a garden oasis filled with loving details awaits you. A bedroom made w architectural details from the Victorian era (painted lady porch, sliding US Federal Building glass door, barn siding, etc..). The bed is EXTREMELY comfortable and the see-through roof allows the beauty of nature to be seen while lying in bed at sun-break or falling asleep to the moonlight. Twinkle lights around the roof provide a subtle starlight tranquility to lull you to sleep. The room is my dream bedroom outdoors - crafted with loving attention to details and offering serenity and comfort in my treasured garden. There is a shared bathroom on the main floor of the house that is equally charming and a short skip from the outdoor room. A mask must be worn at all times indoors when accessing the bathroom and wipes are provided for use to ensure the integrity of the space for cleanliness. There is a fridge in the space, hot water kettle, coffee, tea, nibbles and things to enjoy in your space - access to the main house kitchen is not available in the era of Covid.  **Please note that the space is both indoor and outdoor in that one of the shutters opens directly to the outdoors. It is kept warm with a fabulous, quiet space heater and is super comfortable in that it heats quickly but can be cold upon first arrival in the colder season.

Shannon’s Enchanted Garden was splendid! Shannon was super welcoming, accommodating, and understanding, as I navigated schedule and time changes. The place is beautiful, incredibly creative, and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying if you get the chance!

Beautiful spot , loved the design. Photos are slightly deceiving since the kitchen / indoor area is not available at all. In the summer the room is hot and it’s tiny. Cool spot in Portland though. Maybe allow guests to use the kitchen and put a fan ? Not much privacy to use the garden itself with friends or use the campfire and swinging bed as the permanent dwellers are within ear range and also apparently we weren’t allowed to use the outdoor space as part of the paid hospitality. So photos are slightly deceiving but a nice spot overall , just not much privacy and no kitchen. A giant list of spots to eat were given , which was nice but also (maybe don’t include the kitchen and other rooms in the ad if they aren’t available ?) ya a fan would have done wonders . Gorgeous jasmin plant, pretty design. Fun portland experience overall.

Marie could not have been more wrong in their review and took no accountability for their lack of reading our house filters, picture descriptions, etc... They were also rarely at the house as they attended a jazz festival every day they were here. The reservation started out strange in that they kept trying to create different sleeping arrangements than offered - bring another mattress to put in the space, sleep on the twin mattress swing in the garden, sleep on a mattress in the yard and all of this is prior to arriving they started making these request right after they booked. I state clearly what guests have access to and don't - the kitchen is not available during COVID (which is listed as off limits in the Hipcamp filter) so I provide all sorts of options from meal delivery, nearby eateries and grocery stores so they can enjoy dining in the garden. There are 2 fridges provided for guests and coffee, tea as well. There is a heater and fan provided at all times. We do live onsite and water the garden to keep it lush and green but often are not in the garden when guests are present so they can enjoy it. I have no idea what they are talking about in regards to not having access to the outdoor gardens - we enjoy others reveling in its beauty, calm, and delight in the experience. They generally slept till 11 am, were out till 2 am and showered at 2 am and then would go to bed. What Marie is also not sharing is they broke a glass item in the bathroom, never informed anyone, did not clean it up and both myself and my dog walked on the glass unknowingly and had glass in both our feet and paws. They took no responsibility and no accountability until I inquired. I would never rent to these people again EVER. I think this review is more a misrepresentation because I held them responsible and this is them lashing out. Unfortunate.

Shannon’s garden space was the prefect, relaxing retreat! Their hospitality is so welcoming plus their handsome doggo Jaeger. This is the perfect space if you wanna chit chat with them or just tap into your introverted self and unwind! She provided perfect food recommendations and it’s easy to get to and from!

Welcome to your escape!

What a lovely place! All of it, the decor, the plants, the wildlife that has found its way to the garden… The bed was super comfortable and waking up to the sky above with a sparrow picking through the leaves above us was a great way to start the day.

Super cute space, charming touches and wonderful hosts! We loved watching the rain fall on the clear roof. Magical. Like being outside camping but without the cold and wet :)
